Religion & Morals

When Gary told me he had found Jesus, I thought, Ya-hoo! We're rich! But it turned out to be something different.

Rick Lundstrom

I've been talking to friends of mine in Canada. They're very concerned. They've been reading in their papers about the social spiit between urban and surburban/rural Americans that seemed to come out in this election. They say it's not like that in Canada. Provinces like Quebec and British Columbia seem to have strong liberal populations in both the urban and rural areas.

If it's posslbe that one group are intellectual elitists, could another group be moral elitists?

The exit polls were off, badly.

Anyone can make a mistake. No need to ascribe some motive to it.

Sure.

Be careful with it though. I think you're side has just as many, it's just different issues.

I didn't, Rat. I just questioned their use as a source.

Religion and Morals... Us "Elite" Liberals, obviously have none...!
You are starting to catch on, Fold!
(So how come they call us "Elites"?) The term is used to indicate the mind set of your brethren. geez.........

it's good to see my pal jethro still has no idea what morals are

Or the definition of "elite."

e lite, n.

The best or most skilled members of a group: e.g., the football team's elite.

Besides, behind closed doors, GW Bush has no problem with the "elite" he courts, the haves and the have-mores.

I am confused because I used the term correctly. But I know you aren't able to understand that.

Fri, 11/05/2004 - 2:47 PM Permalink

you used it correctly in moronville, where all definitions are relative while morals are absolute

Fri, 11/05/2004 - 2:50 PM Permalink

since many words have variations meanings, then definitions would be somewhat relative. I should pity you, demon, because I don't think you intentionally misunderstand the difference between right and wrong. I just believe that you are to much of simpleton to understand.

Jethro, unless you were being more thasn usually inarticulate, which would take some doing, jethro bodine 11/5/04 7:34amindicates that you apparently think that being a member of an elite is not a good thing.

okay, slowly for the dimwitted, the libs have a mindset that they are the elite. it isn't true but they believe it.

And it was a successful courtship.

It wasn't just the "Haves and have-mores" that voted for Dubya.

BTW: I think "Elite" insinuates snobbery.

You've put up with me for years.

You're very tolerant.

You're just having a bad week.

I understand.

Here is a moral dilemma for the republicans.  As we all know, Adam and Eve were the first ones and the only ones on the earth.  They had kids and at some point Abel and Caine get married and have children.  We are the children of that first marriage that took place some 6000 years ago according to the Bible.  For them to get married, they ought to have married their own sisters (as in the Book of Jubilee).  Now the children of incest say no to any union that does not include a man and woman who are strangers.  Isn't that strange?

Does any Christian ask their preachers why the Bible does not say who Abel and Caine married?

Right and wrong should be obvious but for some reason it isn't to you.  Ask for help.

Well, one of your spokefolks, Laura Ingraham, constantly refers to liberals as "the elites." Take it up with her.

The liberals are not the elites, it is the people of the book (myths) who are the elites and have the ownership to all moral values.

there is a right and wrong for everyone. once you grow up, move out of your mom's house, and figure that out you will be better off.

Actually you need to read it and think about it. I know you can read but you have proven time and again you have a problem thinking.

Definitely would like to do that, jethro.

But there's a big problem, as you'd agree.

Where can we meet this guy ?

Why does he run and hide, jethro ?  Is this "God" dude a felon on the run ?

I believe you have us confused, your belief is based on no facts, my lack of belief is based upon lack of facts

belief is as valid, and in my view, more so than yours.

it's easy to make a belief logically valid, sound though, is much more difficult

Actually, yourbelief is merely a belief based on nofacts.

Actually, yourbelief is merely a belief based on nofacts. There are plenty of facts supported by archeology. The question is how one interprets those facts.
