OTS - that means I'll have to come up with something intelligent or witty - hmm. Ok I'll email you something - and a photo of me where hopefully my head doesn't look like a giant white pumpkin.
Kitch - that avatar you got there - maybe it's cause I see him enticing me with a cold frosty one - but he's kinda hot...Â
We have been getting dumped on by rain (4 inches yesterday)- and the hills had some snow on them (like around 3000 ft elevation)Â but today it's sunny - blue sky and around 52.
Sorry to hear it's going to be bitterly cold there this weekend.
There are no grapes right now - the vines are dormant until later this spring - we usually see growth around march - spurs in april and bud break around middle may - then it's a mad dash to ripen, a heated harvest and with lots of luck - the plants are back to sleep by middle November.
The biggest threat to the vines right now - are people sliding off the road and crashing into them. (happens - quite a bit) either b/c of wet roads - or too many tastings at the winery.
Yes! My family does own a vineyard - and I will throw this out there for ya'll if any of you ever have questions about wine / wine pairing with food etc - you are all more than welcome to drop me an email @
I should have found that. Grrrrrrrr Half a block from my house
Yes you should have. I tried yelling up the hill for you. If you would have yelled back I would have given it to you.
That is until this past weekend when I found out that the TV that I won turned out to be HiDef. What a nice surprise that was. I still have a few drink tokens from the Cro that Len gave me. I don't want to use them because they might be worth something some day.
Haha! Don't count on it, CM! He gave you tokens.....did he sign you up as a member? It's a private club you know. Lenny uses that excuse when undesirables show up.
Well, with Lenny it's not "loud and obnoxious" that bothers him. You'd fit right in. Best sign up just in case though. It's free and you get a free drink! Some people try to re up every time they go in there.
So you've been going in as a guest all this time? Tsk, tsk. Doesn't anyone read the sign posted on the door??? THIS IS A PRIVATE CLUB....BLAH, BLAH, BLAH.
You didn't happen to find one of these big grapes out back did you L4V?
ha ha CM - truckee (in the sierras about 2 hours away from me - got 14 feet of snow in the last 2 weeks) yikes. Pretty much burried the town.
I am lucky - I live in a higher ground area - but all the farm land about 5 blocks from my house flooded - I got to drive through it tho - that is always fun.
Went and did a little hybred caching today - it was a two parter - the first part I think got washed down this little muddy creek judging from what the clue wasy - bummer - would have been fun to find.
The second part was in this nice mossy rock - right next to a big euclyptis tree - all nestled into poison oak with the moss. Actually saw quite a bit of Lichen today too - LOL.
Good think I'm not allergice to P.oak... all in all - not a bad day for caching - 2.5 hours and a 4 mile walk for 50% of my finds - but did shoot some AWESOME kick ass pixs of the views - and when I am not so lazy - I will down load some of the pix for ya'll to see - impressive.
Ok First a pict of my cache and it's awesome camo container that everyone is always writing me to say how much they love... amazing what a little camo material, some duct tape and an imagination can make!
Your blog is great! Enjoy reading it! Blogspot is cool. I have a blog on there - it's sort of chronicals my dating disasters...
I have more pix to load - but I'm gonna have to figure out how to make them smaller files. My camera is a 5.1 mp - and the files are huge. When I condense the Jpgs down as small as they go - they are still over 100 kb typically. So when I get them smaller I have some awesome shots.
I got some great ones of the cache spot (taken in January and it looks like a summer day) and of the cache I found in a nestled rock covered in moss - oh yeah and pixs of the house that must be like 12k sq feet you can view from the park.
on blogspot gettin pics up...do you use 'Hello' cuz that just formats the pic to fit. mine are all kinds of different sizes and they all look the same when i send them with 'hello'.
Hey girls. I'm gonna be doing the cashe thing too as soon as I figure out how to use my GPS.Â
Speaking of dating stories, I (through a dating service) went out with a really nice guy. About 4 hours into the date, he confided in me he had been abducted by aliens (NO LIE). I laughed. He told me he could prove it by showing me the scars down his spine where they had made exploratory incisions.  I declined of course...
Of course you can check it out! I have two actually - here is the link: the other one you can access on the directory from this one - called Love4vino - it was like a little crash course in wine appreciation I started for my friend. I actually need to go in and update that one again soon - as I have let it fall by the wayside. I put a link to your's on there - so I wouldn't loose it when I was looking to read it again!
I don't post pixs on the blogspot - gawd help me if someone actually knew who I was! LOL.
FB - I had one (not quite as strange) a few years ago - went on a date with this guy and he would grab random women who walked by and sniff thier arms trying to guess what kind of perfume they had on. Needless to say it was over and done in less than 3 hours...
mine is just like an online diary... I like to put my thoughts down to keep them from driving me out of my (small) mind.
it's just something you can open and put down what ever you want - you can share the link with people if you want them to read what you have to say - or you don't have to.
I send the link to my girlfriends- as they enjoy keeping up with some of my date ramblings...  to protect the innocent - I have renamed all my *men* in the stable mostly with animal monikers - giraffe, Dog Guy, Sheep, etc.Â
Lately my blog has been a little skewed as people (who know me) don't comment on there directly - the email me - and then I tend to answer them in the blog... so sometimes there are random comments that mean nothing to anyone but the intended.
OT, he was a really nice guy! tell him I said so. I told him I couldn't see him again (cause I could never marry him anyway) cause I've heard that aliens come back for their abductie's children). :)
Vino, can you explain blogspotting to me a little. Sorry I'm so slow to comprehend. Interesting reading though...
Wow a real live Cooler Crew Cali Chick!

ya...and I just took a few spots in SSP....not much left....
you could do the spot up where CM found his treasure.
I should have found that. Grrrrrrrr Half a block from my house.

Is that what he would hit me upside of my head with if I became loud and obnoxious? His private club?

Supposedly it was originally set up as the Royal Order of Croats or something. A private club. So he pulls that out of his hat once in a while.
hmm...I better sign up!
So you've been going in as a guest all this time? Tsk, tsk. Doesn't anyone read the sign posted on the door??? THIS IS A PRIVATE CLUB....BLAH, BLAH, BLAH.
nah...never read the sign.......
Kinda like at Bugg's I don't read the sign on that door either....something like dress code enforced....
I think it says, No firearms allowed on the premises
Hey... in the "spirit" of hunting did you read about our last mock hunt? Not a vinyard but a brewery.
I did read along with Bear's mock hunt..
the whole Hamm's thing - is that what you are talking about?
mmmm beer - 3 of my friends are brewmasters of local microbrews. I love them. I trade them wine for beer all the time.
You didn't happen to find one of these big grapes out back did you L4V?

Oh, how neat! Did you create that website yourself? Now that I know it's yur personal diary, I may have to read it more carefully ;) hehe
you can go to www.blogspot.comand open your own ...
lol - read more carefully - yeah... you will learn a ton of things NOT to do in a relationship..
and JOE read it.
You may have written a diary about that subject, but I wrote the book. HAHA
