You spelt curmudgeon wrong and you cant fully get edgecumbe out of it...also, the letters left over after the portion of the word edgecunmbe you do get, don't make any sense.
I've been popping in and out of Crosby since clue 2 and the gates were closed there until last night. I am not sure how they tell the city to leave the gates open without giving the park away...or do they tell the city to leave all gates open at all parks from Clue 5 on? Its a curious thing for sure.
It would actually be fun if for one "GOD DAMN" year the news stations didn't tell every person in the twin cities where true hunters (who have actually been trying to figure this thing out) are looking in mass. I think that would be really fun!
My bet is on battle creek if I was just going on the last sentence of today's clues, but I will probably be going to crosby just like everyone else tomorrow afternoon.
I can't seem to love Crosby - not sure why. But I have some good things for highland.Â
Ice has come to stay (highland arena) water's quite frozen (manmade creek from the waterfall / pools if full outside would be frozen) While time away (frisbee golf)
Be safe / pledge (cops protect take an oath to office) Highland isn't a cliff - nor is it sea level - hear the severe weather siren's ontop of highland park Jr. high - again no fear (either the test sounds or you shouldn't have fear cause the cops are in the park) I wonder if they had a typo and meant - it was there before we moved IT (meaning the pools) it and pursuit- although not a rhyme both end inthe same letters.
sirens call (either pd / or severe weather) Giant falls - (not nec. giant - but the old falls are there - or it may be a tie in with clue 5 - see below) down beyond the once blue pond (old pools - there are woods to the east) Also the water towers are blue (wouldn't call them a 'pond' but you never know) Pied piper of hamline (poet sings?)Â field generals - all the street names around there -
The lichen - takes me back to the idea of it being stuck via a 3m product- perhaps in the lichen, Also there are woods on the north part of the park. Prize earned - the circus Juuventas - you don't just 'do' circus skills you practice and 'earn' the right to perform them. Don't run (ped bridge - walking bridge) Helter skelter ( it's in line with something solid -perhaps the picnic shelter just sowth west of the northern woods? with room and wood to burn - no denying its a good sized park / lots of places to have fire wood etc.
Had a couple of smaller thoughts about hidden falls too:Â there is one large downed tree that crosses the stream (giant falls?) it's not near a cliff nor the water's edge - so perhaps it's a marker for where it's hidden should it be in there?
It was there before we moved it - Samual Morgan was a huge open space guy - and they have the trail that leaves hidden falls and goes down through to downtown - well the open space was there before we were.
I think it's called the Tunnell Of Terror. It's a spook thing at Halloween. It's a cave type thing that is between Crosby and Hidden Falls I think. But I'm not sure. Kitch is the Tunnell expert and he's not here.
alrighty then
I am looking and finding no park listed as "Shamrock" is that the proper name?
Â
Lot's O folks out earlier this evening at Crosby though.
Â
Even a few at Como.
Terry, are you going to be out there tonight? Do you have tomorrow off?
At this point Crosby fits a little too well to ignore, but I'm not ruling out Hidden Falls or some of the others.
You spelt curmudgeon wrong and you cant fully get edgecumbe out of it...also, the letters left over after the portion of the word edgecunmbe you do get, don't make any sense.
Stallion - nope..not off. Hope to be off by the afternoon. Dang auditors. The timing couldn't be worse.
the people at shamrock are looking for boxes of lucky charms

now watch everyone go to shamrock on clue 11 hehehe
I've bascially been on the same park since at least clue 4
That's to bad Terry. At least the weekend is coming up!
You got that right, Stall! I hate that I've been sure of the park for what feels like forever and haven't gotten there yet.
How is Lina taking to the hunting?

The parking at Crosby is poor to none.
Shamrock Park is in Shoreview.
My bet is on battle creek if I was just going on the last sentence of today's clues, but I will probably be going to crosby just like everyone else tomorrow afternoon.
ShovelMaster, I mostly agree with you. On the other hand, it is fun news in the midst of what depressing stuff is usually reported.Â

Will be down there at 11. See you there!
Well, Lina is coming out to the park with me tonight, so we'll see. I have her dressed up in all my oversized old warm cloths. It's pretty funny...
\You stole my story

Stallion - Hunting clothes are just that. I'm sure she's cute and she'll be warm. That's the important part. Warm.
Shoreview is in Ramsey County.
On our way!
Thanks Ian!
Cory!! Funny seeing you here! Call me sometime if you want to hunt at crosby. You know I live right near there right? how funny.
was at crosby for about 4 or 5 hours this morning. hope to get out there again tomorrow after work.
too tired to stay up for the clue tonite.
good luck everyone!!
I knew you lived right off 7th, but I didn't know it was right by Crosby. Get some sleep girl, tomorrow could be the day!
ok - I just got through 680 something messages. yikes. teach me not to be home for a couple of nights!Â
Correction to my 5580 post - I meant the 1952 treasure chest was hidden in highland - not 1954.
Â
You know, if this medillion should happen to be in a park other than Crosby some people might be pretty upset.
you go around
but once
do it right
the first time

You staying in tonight Me2 or just waiting for the clue and then going?

Have no fear - being protected by Ft. Snelling.
I don't want it to be Crosby just because of the reputation it has.
My wife took tomorrow off so we'll come into town early and look for it.
oh what the heck, think I'll head down and get a paper.
Does anyone think it is at Cherokee? King Street borders it, they have fire pits

Ok, I was wrong. Ian is the tunnell expert. ;)
THX, if you're out there, can FrozenButtox have access to this thread please? Pretty please?
I hope there is someone available to post it.
