Hi Annie! The movie is wonderful...truly. You will enjoy it, I'm sure. I can't see how anyone wouldn't get something out of it...laughs for sure...and a true sense about what the hunt means to everyone.
I think I mostly have a feeling of relief that it's been found. I no longer have to torture myself with staying up too late (actually had thought about heading out after tonight's clue - figured the world probably wouldn't end if I wasn't to work by 6:30), laying in bed trying to visualize the park, etc., etc.
But again - someone with no registered button?!?! Guess I can't give them too much grief, as late as we were this year to actually purchase ours and get the cards in the mail.
No one asked for my opinion, but I'll put in my 2 cents anyway FWIW. The re-hash has *always* been the Sunday after the hunt. It just wouldn't be the same moving it. And I'm with LL on the weather thing. I know I don't want to have to face weather like last year!! This Sunday is actually supposed to be pretty darned nice.
I LOVED the Clues! Thought they were way better'un last year. I agree with Wolfie and Allison. Either Boxmeyer and/or Millett outta mothballs, or the new Clue Writer(s) has seen the error of his ways.
I didn't get out as much as I would have liked, but still I had the greatest fun noodling. I think I did a bit better this year and stayed with the Razor's Edge or whatever that thing's called - Oxman's Razor? I didn't go like four steps from the Clue. Maybee I did some, but not like I've done in years past. I think my "remains of a tree" being a post was brilliant... Unfortunately it didn't work. Oh, well!
I had the Coolerst thighy happen at school tonite! A very nice young gentleman in my class comes up to me and says, "Aren't you the lady (he called me a 'lady'!!!) with The Film?"
Come to find out he's BigG's brother's best friend and had been hunting with her, Tim-The-Hunter, et al! And they WERE RIGHT ON THE PUCK!!! But just on the other side o'the path! The Crew almost had it!!!! They were RIGHT THERE!!!
He also had hunted with OTiS and PayMe.
I asked him where The Camo Crewe was. He said, "Standing in the middle of the path, leaning on their shovels." LOL!
He may come to The Re-Hash Bash; I told him we'd love to have him and begged him to come. He thinks he will. Nice guy.
To all hunters, a warm felt good-bye; 'Til we meet again next year, Its been fun and thrilling, I can not lie, For those who all became quite dear, Fore its time to hang up our gear.

I will probably browse some of the chatting later this week, but I feel that I go back to the daily life the next day after the medallion is found. It was a fun hunt, although I was expecting it to go to 11 for some reason. I wish I could join the RHB this Sunday but I have plans for the Super bowl all day.
I would like to know what giant stump they were referring to? The only huge stump I can think of is the broken stump that people shred to pieces over the course of the clues. If someone takes a picture of the location w/ stump, if they don't mind forwarding it to my Email account: ZKarlo@aol.com
Speaking of hanging up gear, I put my THG away tonight. *sniff, sniff* Now I hope I remember where I put it next year. And I stuck my little stem of yarrow in a vase just as a reminder of the hunt.
He's talking about why people don't show it to others after they find it. He might have a good point. If there are other people around, no one is going to mug you for it. You'd have witnessess that you had it and would the fool that mugged you be crazy enough to try to turn it in? Maybe.
OT - I think things have changed in the past several years. We now know, on a more personal level, other people in the park with us. For most of our 30+ years of hunting, we actually had a code we' planned to use if one of us found it so we could get out of the park safely. Now with so many coolerheads in the park that we know, we haven't even mentioned that code.
Last night laying in bed I was thinking what I would do if I found it. I figured I'd look for someone I knew and have them escort me to my car. Now I'm thinking that maybe I'd let others look at it.Â

It'll all depend on how healthy we stay. Emily's still not all better and now both Dad and I are starting to feel crummy.  If we're going to make it to the park Sunday, we may need to rest Saturday. I'd like to go again though....I really think it's such a good snapshot of our insanity :)
On that note -- I've got to head for the blankets! I really have no excuse to cheat myself of sleep with no new clue or anything!
Goodnight Mom. I think if we go, it'll be the one Saturday showing...though we were thinking of heading north to get mail and all that fun stuff. Then we might have to make the Friday night one.
Reggie, as it has been said for years about this place and us guys...
"You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave."
Once a 'Head, always a 'Head. You're a part o'this place and this place is a part o'you. You'll be noodling from where ever you are... Hopefully here in the TC's sos you can dig, too. But whatever, you'll be Hunting anyway you can.
I came to the computer at the usual 11 pm time and realized no clue! I had to study to make up for not studying, whew. College at my age--Reg: Do it while you are young. I remember meeting you at the PP two years ago with my oldest son and you were quiet. and then at the re-hash bash in Como and i did not know anybody but you remembered me from the PP night and came up to talk to me because you could tell I did not know anyone. I always thought that was nice of you.
So Reg, i would always say hello to on on the 'Cooler because I remembered how nice you were at that rehash bash in Como. Keep up the Nice Guy persona at college! people do remember that, even in a 'cooler.
My favorite story about Reggie is from one of the mock hunts I think it was. He didn't have his license (have it yet, Reg?), and his parents weren't at home to give him a ride to Cherokee Park. It was freezing cold and pretty late, and Reg roller bladed over to Cherokee!Â
I agree, better than the moss pits the last few years.
everyone had a chance, a great park!

Amen
And a reminder that either Trent or Jackie will be on KSTP 1500 AM at a little after 10:00 tonight.Â
Last known Cooler Crew member to leave the park?
Becksie
I really enjoyed this hunt ... good times - morning, noon and night
Cooler Crew ROCKS
you are you and he is he and we are all the same, whatever ...
See ya Sunday
the ones actually in the park all day didn't know about Great Waters, so we had a pity party there.
MANY thanks to the Cooler Head who liftedmy spirits. Heh
Shoulda been there RR
Another year, another hunt.
It's always interesting to see the kind of frenzy that people get all worked up into during this hunt.Â
I might get out to the Post-Dig Gig at Crosby on Sunday.Â
IS THIS THING ON??
I went insane when I heard it was found in Phallen on Joes show 1500 earlyer today. Walka walka walka.
Great hunt. It's just so perfect. Well, are the finders suposed to be on Mischkey? It's coming on right now so I'll listen.....
Oh it's the film makers. WAY COOLER!

Melville Family,
Enjoy every minute of the fun, this is one of your good old days.Â
It takes a couple days to recover, be apart of it all. We have met the most amazing people throughout each and every hunt.Â
Take Care to you and all who are reading this

And good luck at college! Have fun!
If the medallion hadn't been found, we'd be sitting here waiting for the new clue. But it was found. So why aren't I in bed??
I was just wondering that myself. Old habits die hard.
Just looking for a nice gal

I guess this is really it. No more clues to noodle.
Guess I should get some shut eye. I was told today my eyes were bloodshot.Â
Goodnight and SCDs to coolerheads everywhere!
I have something to say about Reg too. I have never met someone his age with so much integrity. And that quality will take him far in life.
Night Terry!
Hehe Night Mary Ellen ;)
'Nite, Mary Ellen. 'Nite, Ter.
You old Posse Folk... We 'Heads did that, too! :DÂ Told'ja you guys would fit in! :D
