Discussion on Logos and other Miscellaneous Items

Again, sub-groups are going to happen, they have existed since the beginning of the cooler crew and as the cooler crew grows there are going to be even more and more.

The problems that have been occuring on the boards lately all pretty much come down to people not liking that a particular group is doing something. Randy and Kitch started out by joking around about dressing up, and when they got serious about doing it people got mad, Ares said something about not wanting to ruin the good press he had gotten the cooler crew. Then you had the Zeph thing. Someone questioned which website got more press, and someone questioned how the shipping was being done. Now we have the logo thing. Let me say that a lot of people thought it was a good idea to have a vote, as long as we included the old logo. Some people thought "new people" were trying to come in here and change things, it's the same deal.

What I don't want is to see the cooler crew completely disintegrate and everyone going back to only hunting in their own sub-groups and not interacting with anyone else. Everyone together makes up a diverse group and something is to be said for that. Because everyone is just loosely affiliated though, and the group is growing and growing it's getting tough to come to group decisions. We thought that voting on a logo would be the best way, we brainstormed on when we should do it and the general consensus was now.

I think the only way that we aren't going to keep going in this cycle of drama is if we all step back and realise that sub groups are going to exist, and it's going to take some serious compromising when everyone is trying to come to a group decision because we'll never all completely agree on something.

Why Wear White Pith Helmets?

Wanna know how I came up with the fireman's gear idea?....here's the website...

at one time you thought wearing something white on the upper body was a good idea......you thought having white plastic pith helments was a good idea.....offical colour of the crew?? really cool idea...how did it change to baby blue...I don't know.......

but as time went on this ideas is no longer being used....why?? if you guys wanna scrap all this idea for a logo...i'm cool with it....but do something for people to find a cooler and meet us in a park and say hi!!!!

I wonder just WHO we turned our back on because they are afraid to walk up to a total stanger and ask are you a cooler?? Once they get a NO...that person might not ask again???

You guys with this BS attitude about a logo change or even using a old one need to think about it.....its all about fun!!!!

I'm not sure there was a "general consensus" on the vote date.  It seems to me there were several people who said they thought the vote should be pushed back until more people could be involved.

logo tattooed on my butt cheeks do i need to get anyones approval on which one I use or can i design my own or pay G or ESD or MM or TImmers to use theirs?

i am new and basically an outsider and i am definately not trying to stick my nose in any of this...i only have a few simple thoughts to share...i think that everyone in this crew is a crucial part of the crew. all amazing caring people in all of our different ways. everyone contributes a lot in there own ways to many different parts of what the crew does and means to everyone. i joined up cuz someone special to me told me how awesome all of you are and i completely still think that. there are so many different kinds of people i think it is easy for conflict and hurt feelings and sometimes it seems like things get discussed on here that should maybe not be discussed online cuz it just plain doesn't come out right. taking a breath or a day off sometimes help me but in the end i know that all of these people i have met are really truely genuinely nice people and mean the best for the crew!

well it's probably a good thing TC doesn't post here anymore because it would be pretty tough to explain that...

I have to tell you from what we have seen with all this stuff sent, the crew is amazing.

Regardless the way things might sound or come across, for us this whole project as been completely about Zeph and his fellow soldiers - SFC Dan Fealy, SSG Kevin Von Rump, SGT Brenda Geise, SGT Jake Valenzuela, CPL Brian Caldwell, SPC Dominic Koep, SPC Jessi Tate, SPC Trevorlee Sellden, SPC Mike Palm, SPC Mike Peterson, & SPC Chris Cummings

It has also been about taking care of the family of one Sergeant Jason Anderson. Be that in making sure they know we are trying to make sure he is care about or by giving his kids lots of reasons to smile.

It makes no difference if a Cooler Head donated money, time, supplies or a simple kind comment to Zeph or his family. The value of these individual acts cannot and should not be compared. We all did this together.

Hopefully when all is said and done we can get past the misunderstandings and see the good in all of this.

yeah. she did actually send that to him. she's been talking to him all day trying to sort things out, and he's been telling her how much he appreciated what she did, and yet when attacked, stood silent. even though she was im'ing him at the time and he knew what was going on. i think she had every right to say that to him seeing as all he told her were lies.

Ares... take some time and slog the conversations about the capes and fire man outfits... you might find a conversation in there that has nothing to do with Tiaras being a stab at anyone.

Why did I post that Egram? Because I want everyone to see the whole picture.

I speak up when I have something to say. What I said for 2 hours was said beyond the PF. It was said between TC and myself.

But to me trying to take credit? yes of course... You must be right.... I'm sure you could see it the whole time! All I did the last two weeks was run around and try to take credit for Zeph. You can see that everywhere I've been.

Everything I have ever done here has been for the crew.

TC wasn't mad about just the Tiaras:

She was upset about the small groups that form within the crew.

She was still upset that Coolertimes in her eyes competes with Coolercrew.com and that I was running around promoting my site everywhere.

She was upset because she felt that the newer members of the Crew were trying to make to many changes here without considering the feelings of those who have set up what we have this present day.

She was upset that Pay Me and I didn't offer to take orders on the new hats we wore to the PDG prior to getting them made.

She was upset about the crew discussion the possiblilty of a new Logo considering the work and money me2 had spent working on the scarfs this year.

These are all things I spent time talking to her about. These are all the things she was upset about.

I understand that people are pissed that I posted it. THX can remove it if he chooses at anytime. But if you think you can discount what we have done for Zeph and think I'm not going to share it after that little speech you gave when you informed us that TC was gone for good you are out of your mind.

I asked THX, if maybe he thought it was a wise decision, to make it so Zeph and/or family wouldnt be able to read all this stuff... but he was right, when he said that its probably too late......

knowing all that.... everyone thats got anything to do with anything thats going on, and has said anything about all this bullshit, knew that he probably would get to read everything, and posted, knowing that information, full well...

Enough has been done, and said, and enough feelings have been hurt over this damn mess....... all parties involved need to take a god damned step back, and take a breath, and take some much  needed time out, and realize that something very special, took place... making someone feel like a hero.... and after that...
