Did your e-mail address change? I sent an e-mail using the link on your geocaching profile page. Did you receive it? Clue Master wasn't validated a few months ago, but is now. He knows what to do.

If nothing works, let me know. I'll try my "secret contact" in the organization.

I use that email-just not often right now -its a hard story to explain but in a nutshell, I have to access AOL as a guest right now so its not easy to switch user names. That will change sometime this week.

If you mean the huge space:

Lance told me long ago it couldn't be changed. Hope he's wrong.

Thu, 03/03/2005 - 4:33 PM Permalink

ah, there we go. Problem is webx isn't terribly text editor friendly, or it's too much so, all the carriage returns in a html file cause it to throw up that extra space.

What stinks is having to edit the list..

I have looked in my me2minnesota account but dont see an email except for the password and name.

A few of my friends have registered lately, and/or plan to become more active:

She'd really like to "keep" the non-validated name. Can you help?

Thanks,

Ian

Hi Ian

I manually validated your friend's account so she should be able to login using the password she set in her profile. AOL is notorious for diverting our validation emails into the spam bin so you should tell her to look there. It's useless now since I already validated the account, but maybe she can use it to create a rule in AOL so they don't redirect our email notifications. She may miss something fun.

It's good to see your crew is expanding. With all the geocaches you own you could use all the help you can get! Heh. Let me know if you need anything further.

Kind regards,

Nat

How do they know everything!!????!

He's actually mixed-up. When he questioned the number of adoptions I'd applied for, I sent him a link to my "Hall of Fame" - people who have helped out with cache maintenance.

With all the geocaches you own you could use all the help you can get! Heh.

THAT has nothing to do with new people 'caching. Whatever. If Nat took care of me2, then that works for me. I know the "formula" for dealing with him.

Ian, is there like some getting-together-a-group thing going on here?  For voting or something?  An off-shoot of the main geocaching club, or something?  Why's it so important the number of folks 'you' get/bring into the hobby?  Is everyone supposed to bring in folks, get new people?

green = totally clueless and in the dark

For voting or something? Nice to know we have power if we need it.

An off-shoot of the main geocaching club, or something? NAH
Why's it so important the number of folks 'you' get/bring into the hobby? More fun when you know others that are addicted 2

Is everyone supposed to bring in folks, get new people? sure why not....you don't need 2

I need to go to the MN place and check that out more.  I've not really yet.  Been spending time in the main geo place.  I'll get there, I'll get there.  So much to learn/do, so little time!  :D

Been spending time in the main geo place.

It's OK to look there. I don't know if you've been posting. Bad people hang out there. Troublemakers. Trolls.

I need to go to the MN place and check that out more. I've not really yet.

You'll find tech help, local and regional discussion, and BS. It's the only place I go, and I go often.

Ian, is there like some getting-together-a-group thing going on here?

There's been so much discussion here lately, but would you have guessed that those people are registered? Scribe registered 2years ago?

Kitch answered every question the way I would have.

I don't take the credit for it, but I got an e-mail from a guy a few months ago. I THINK he had been laid off for quite awhile, no job prospects, lay around and get fat. He started geocaching and lost 50 pounds. He thanked me for placing my caches. He is now the leader in the state, with nearly 2000 finds.

I have found 400, but for almost four years that's not many. I just don't have the desire that many do, plus it's hard to find a cache that's not mine. JK

Which brings up this: I dig the shit out of hiding. It's a rush, after a good day. One of my best started at 2:00 am, after getting kicked out of Old Chicago.(Closing time) I had a trip planned to SE MN, for 'caching. I found two, and hid 18. Got home at like 6:00 pm. Sixteen hours on the road, rainy, sunny, I got soaked and dried out three times that day. You can't beat it.

I've been up all night. Hope this isn't rambling. Time for a nap, then go watch Kollin bowl. Keep the questions coming. Check out
