I don't know if this has been posted or not, or whether or not it's even appropriate to do so, but I know that the subject appreciates kind thoughts and prayers. So here goes:
Diane (Outtamymind) has been hospitalized over the last week and a half (is now home) with a series of minor strokes. To the best of my knowledge, she is *relatively* ok, she can walk and talk, but has periods of confusion. This would be tragic enough for someone of 38, but she has six (6!) children as well, so resources are extremely tight for them.
I'm not sure what to do to help out, other than to pray for a safe recovery for her, and hope you all will do the same.
Red Bear I believe thats very appropriate to post here. Shes part of the crew. Thank you for posting that as it's the first I or Pay me has heard of it.
I'm not sure how I feel on the cat-hunting subject. In some articles they call them "feral" cats, in others they are called "rural" cats. There's a huge difference. Feral cats were never domestic, and therefore a native species. Maybe? The primary prey for cats at most feeders are house sparrows, and starlings. Both are a non-native, opportunistic bird that over-populate the cities. Neither possess strong survival skills. While I'm a bird, and all critter lover, I condider these "weed birds" and would not go out of my way to help them. I'd like to know how many true native birds are eaten by cats. They need to study this for about 75 more years, and then make a decision. How many house cats, owned and loved by people would be shot by trigger-happy folks just because the cat escaped, and wandered? What would happen to the rodent population if cats were required to be tethered at all times? Oh dear. Too Early. Too intense. Need to make a kalidoscope.
if you love limburger you have to go down to monroe wisconsin and have a limburger and onion sandwich with a huber bock at baumgartners then go down the block and tour the huber brewery and have a few samples in the tasting room

Molly's the quickest and always SHOOTS through the door when I go upstairs to bed. She's my main Snuggle Bunny. So, when ittiz bedtime, I pick her up, she puts her arms around my neck, starts purring like a banshee, rubbing her head against my chin. Upstairs we go and get under like 6 blanKets (I keep the house on 65 when I'm home; 58-60 when I'm not). She's like a little living hot water bottle! So soft and warm... She snuggles up in the krook o'my knees... Sometimes she sleeps snuggled up against my face and I can bury my nose in her soft, warm fur. Then her purring soothes me to sleep.

This where I step in and say.. I don't care if you are out hunting for sport so long as you plan to make use of the animals you kill.
What the frank and beans are you going to do with a dead cat?
He's just a cat hater.

Gunter gleiben glauchen globen
has estimated that between 7.8 million and 219 million birds are killed by rural cats in Wisconsin each year.
That's quite a gap. Sounds like he's just making up numbers.
Good night. Sleep tight.
