It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.
I heard there's a sensor on the medallion that let's the pioneerpress know that someone has found it (or has even shoveled near it) That might be how they know if
Conway is so dug up, if it was there they would have stumbled upon it by now it's not at conway too many people ther for it not to have been found it is so hard to
As far as knowing whether the medallion is turned in immediately- I've heard that the PP has people watching the site, to make sure that if it is found, it is turned in
Are you nuts? Not at Conway? Come on, give your ideas on the clues and why they point to crosby. I'd rather not dig at all then dig at some park at this point in the
There is an old library a couple blocks away my uncle said it was replaced years ago but it was a very popular place with the older generation fitting with Bing
The medallion is not at Conway either. It is at Crosby, Bing Crosby and Norm Crosby the Comedian. And you can see the No.1 sign for the red object up high.
I read the clue at 11:30 last night and the Clue said "Planes" not "Places" as it does now. Last year there was also an error in the clue on the web page.
Mrs. Banner, I am not new to the hunt itself, just to this year's clues. Usually, after Clue 10 or so, people have a pretty good fix on what park the medallion is in. I
was just asking if anyone minded bringing me up to speed.
We all think it is at Conway park because of the clue pertaining to the first name of the "crooner" and last name of a funny man, thus Conway Twitty, and Tim
Ok, you asked for our thoughts---could be Como transulsent peak, the conservatory. Red object and orient, the airport, must be able to see it from somewhere at
Como. Can you see the conservatiory from the bandstand? Or could be near the ball fields over there also. Where are any figurines near there? Tie in 9 5 & 4. Lots
of things tie in, sorry to burst any bubbles. Minature golf course near the rides.
Clue 10 Name Bing Crosby, Norman Crosby very old. Pointer the lights in the sky for the plains (all red) Translucent peak radio and air traffic control. street lined
with trees Water fall water on high?? Most clues fit some are far fetched but I think they are catering to the older generation on this one. Sorry web crossing down
If you are using the air traffic control tower to fit one of the clues, I'd really have to disagree with you. First, because there is no way they would want anyone to dig
around there- it's illegal even to park within 50 feet of an air traffic control tower. Secondly, MSP airport is not in St. Paul- it's in Richfield.
lu lu...good enough, thanks. I find this all very interesting as I can't go out and dig myself anymore I can enjoy the hunt from my armchair! Good luck to everyone!
Flippy- I'm not agreeing with whoever you're talking to, but if the tower being in Richfield is true, it shoots down the theory of the 3M sign for Conway because 3M
A: your graphics are cool! are you at work or why aren't you digging? it's a drag, isn't it! my luck it will be found at about 5:00, just when I can finally get out there!
It's at CONWAY you ding-a-lings!! Haven't you been keeping up or what. Just take a look at the 1999 clue page and they'll even give you the definitions of the
hey, i've got a question for you all who think it's at Crosby: A line of trees was supposed to give you a name leading to the park, does it do that for Crosby?
Also, is there a scoreboard, and what's the translucent peak?
Some of your clues work, but not all of them! Who's the iconoclast in relation to the park?
Oh, and one more thing...At como, the conservatory is a translucent DOME. Dome peopple, not peak! Dome=round peak=pointy
Is M. Watters kidding?!
I don't think I've been there- although certainly nearby. I don't remember a library nearby there, which I think Clue 5/6 require.
Zentar, where do you think it is then?
No, I'm not kidding. Why do you ask?
I heard there's a sensor on the medallion that let's the pioneerpress know that someone has found it (or has even shoveled near it) That might be how they know if
someone doesn't come in right away.

Conway is so dug up, if it was there they would have stumbled upon it by now it's not at conway too many people ther for it not to have been found it is so hard to
even find a place to start there
As far as knowing whether the medallion is turned in immediately- I've heard that the PP has people watching the site, to make sure that if it is found, it is turned in
promptly. Can anyone confirm?

Are you nuts? Not at Conway? Come on, give your ideas on the clues and why they point to crosby. I'd rather not dig at all then dig at some park at this point in the
game where there's NO chance in finding it.

What is web-crossing and why does it keep happening?

Instead of chatting in here, why not go out and find the Medallion!! I've given up so stop typing and start digging!

A- some of us are stuck at work for a while. (It is a weekday.) Personally, I'll join you in a few hours.
Grant M...whats the translucent peak at Crosby?
Some of us have JOBS. What do you think of that, A?
Where is Crosby?
It said places in the paper.

DID YOU WRITE YOUR TERM PAPERS THE NIGHT BEFORE OR SIMPLY COPY OFF SOMEONE ELSE'S TESTS
I also have three kids 2 of them 7 months and unable to dig so until hubby gets home I'm stuck here
Is tonight the night they say the EXACT park and location??

THE WEBSITE CLUE ALSO SAYS "PLACES" NOW...GUESS I'LL KEEP MY ZAMBONI AT HOME TONIGHT...

Mrs. Banner: I love how productive you are at
your place of work.
Translucent Peak is the Capitol.
The capitol isn't translucent.
Crosby is right off of sheppard road hidden falls park it was hidden there I think some time in the 50's early 60's

It can not be in como. the list of places from previous years does not repeat a park for at least 6 years
They mean Downtown St.Paul airport idiot.
No from Crosby Park you can see all of that I'm not saying to go dig up the air port
Grant- if you're talking to me, don't speak so fast moron, and read previous clues.
But you can see the 3 m sighn just like you can see the towers from Crosby
HEY A--
I KNOW MRS. BANNER AND YOU SIR ARE NO MRS. BANNER.
ACTUALLY, SHE IS A LAWYER AND YOU ARE PROBABLY GETTING BILLED FOR THIS TIME.
It's at CONWAY you ding-a-lings!! Haven't you been keeping up or what. Just take a look at the 1999 clue page and they'll even give you the definitions of the
previous 10 clues. Maybe you need to get a clue!
Grant M....How does the "flying down hill" from clue #2 fit into Crosby?
No Fly-fan I wasn't talking to you, it was Flippy.
99 clue page?
