We got to meet and got some stuff signed by many a famous aviator!

Theodore "Dutch" Van Kirk the navigator nof the Enola Gay was so happy to see that we were collecting this stuff for the boys that he asked us to get a picture with him for the record so the boys would have that as well.

Was a good day!

So now we have Paul Tibbets book signed by both him and Dutch. Good stuff.... Also got to meet two members of Easy company from the 101st (Band of Brothers)

I will check that out for you today, I know the visual defect rounds are cheaper they have scratches and water stains on the casing would you like those or the premo stuff. I have to pick up some 22 rounds today as well

Guess some tiles fell off during lunch hope they brought a patch up kit :eek:

I think the debris this time is normal. What they didn't tell you is that the first few shuttle flights lost a few tiles immediately after launch. Mainly that was caused by the vibrations of the engines as they were ignited. I believe they remedied that by having a pool of water or something like that under the engine area, it basically acts like a shock absorber.

Anyways point is there have been lots of heat tiles knocked off on previous flights and the shuttles weren't impaired. The main ones to worry about are the carbon carbon tiles on the nose and wing edges. Those were the critical part that caused the columbia disaster.

I had a goofy message on sue's post...

I was joking, Clue. I put up what Kitch says, a goofy message. Maybe I should explain. Back in the old forums I used to post in, once in awhile, mostly when things were going well, we got what we called the white wall....that message....due to heavy traffic, etc. So many times ya would lose a post due to that.

I have the same image gallery setup on my website. Heck I got a good deal on my site anyways, I believe it's 40 bucks a year, decent storage, custom email, enough bandwidth for what I do with it...
