Sorry about your divorce Kitch
I swear, it seems as if they don't expect people to find the things they've hidden, because all hell breaks loose once you try to collect the prize. It's as if they put absolutely no thought into what they need to do next once the prize is found! It's been an "amazing" experience, really
dammit, cm you beat me to it!
in todays SUNCurrent is an AWESOME article of Becksie and the CREW!!!!
and a photo of her with the star!
(isn't it proof enough for your own newspaper>??)

And lastly, they will mail the check to me in about 2 weeks (sure, they'll trust the USPS with THAT!)
Wow.... why didn't we think of that before!!!
 :eyeroll:
Some people just don't get it
The idea of the prize is nice but it's the friends and the fun of the hunts that drives me most of the time.
OK, "co-workers",I'm off to bed...
well said!!! after all, that's how the crew got its start
Wonder what kinda article it'd been then? "Cooler Crew steals another Medallion: Authorities are looking over the case"
Becki Pope of South St. Paul was quick to thank her fellow fortune seekers after she came across a $500 surprise in Oakwood Park in Inver Grove Heights Friday morning. After spending a considerable amount of time wandering through the park's wooded area, Pope spotted the Inver Grove Heights Days' medallion.
Part of the IGH Days annual festival, the medallion hunt featuring a $500 reward is sponsored each year by Sun Newspapers.
"I saw a brick sitting cockeyed and thought, 'I might as well look under it,'" said Pope. Sure enough, her curiosity paid off.
In the last two years, Pope has made a habit of searching for valuable hidden objects with a group of co-workers labeled the "Cooler Crew." While some may see these treasure hunts as a simple diversion, the "Crew" takes them quite seriously - they've constructed a Web site focused on such events: www.coolercrew.com.
Included on the Web site are hunter instructions, a mission statement and an archive of locations medallions have been hidden in the past.
While these rabid hunters consider the St. Paul Winter Carnival Medallion Hunt their main event, Pope was ecstatic about her discovery during IGH's festival. Since she found the medallion during the morning hours, Pope and her hunting buddies had the whole day to celebrate with the spoils.
When asked what she would do with her prize, Pope said she was unsure, but her teammates had plenty of suggestions. Luckily for Pope, the "Cooler Crew" doesn't require its members to share the wealth.
that would be 30-40 dimes a person!
cockeyed - :sheepish:
Really?
On the slim chance that I ever find the puck, you sons-a-bitches ain't getting nothing.
That's why you sons-a-bitches wouldn't get anything.
Now, if I had stumbled upon the Wild flag during those three whole minutes that I was out there looking, I would have given everthing but the Best Buy gift certificate to Timmers.
Just cuz you're one of those hockey meat heads.
I don't get out there often, but I've been close many times.
Been there, done that.
You think kidney stones are bad? Think blood clots.
Cool
So you do know what it feels like.
