no kidding. maybe because the first one at chairokey was the official one, and the second happened because the first was short.

green: is it in BC?

It would have to be a large park, past 3 years the Med hunt has grown and the last 3 parks have had plenty of parking and large enough to accomodate a herd of peeps. That Highland park area across from Pearsons looked like a dud, but the clues fit.Only kid-like is that circus and the school.

Anyone remember what the prize was for the second hunt?

Malley, many parks fit rite now. As much as I want it to be Chair-O-Key, BC fits better - in my mind - after this 3rd Clue.

There just isn't a really good playground at Chair-O-Key like there is at BC or Newell... Newell's is like the Daddy of all playgrounds.

But we may find later that I've not taken the Clue rite.

But for me, what I've got pictured in my mind as "proclivities," Chair-o-Key's not fitting as well as BC, Newell, and some others.

I'm guessing it's in that swell book the treasure hunter's guide... but my copy is sitting about 20 miles away at home :frown:

Hi Kitty! Welcome

Someone who lives near highland said the old swing sets are still there. Yes? No?

I don't think a playground has to be the granddaddy playground to be considered nor does a sledding hill need to be every kid's dream of one. If there is something in a park that a kid would enjoy and gravitate towards, that park shouldn't be eliminated from anyone's list.

Hi Kitty! good to see you back! And Snake..!

I hear you, Vino! I am back to college and tons of homework that I am not getting to. I will suffer tomorrow!

There are sliding hills at Highland, off Montreal, near the old swings, or where they were.
Tue, 01/24/2006 - 4:31 PM Permalink
Terry

Ian, are the swings actually gone?

Cherokee has a playground and sliding hill, Newell has both also. Como, BC, Indian Mounds, Marydale, and all the rec centers have playground equipment.

Nothing to really narrow the park down with that.

I don't know. I've driven by there lots, not specifically looking. The kids were on those swings all night before the 94 medallion was found.

I was there today and there is a sign that points across the bridge from the police side(west) with a teeter totter picture on it. I think a kid would have a proclivity to cross that bridge to the teetertotter. That would be objectionable to the parent would it not?

Just got back from scouting a few parks. The only park I noticed people with shovels is highland. 3 cars behind the pool. About 20 cars at Circus Juventas. Interesting - I stopped by Marydale to look around and someone has been digging all around the firetruck playground. Idiots :eyeroll:

I might have to take a drive over there.

Of course there are other things kids like to do there...sliding for one.

I wish I would have known you back then. We were out there probably at the same time.

For fun I checked out the PP boards. Wasted my time. There's so much drivel over there, and hard to navigate.

I'm wondering if this year the writers assume we know or can find out the rules, so they felt no need to issue a blatant "It's in a park, stay off the golf courses and lakes" clue.
