Isn't it clue time yet?!?!?! These clues are coming too slowly.

I loved when there were two clues a day. This 12 days of one clue a day drives me crazy.

Vento nature preserve off of Childs road is a creepy place when you are looking by yourself. Not much by Pigs eye lake.

my coworker thought thinks "at rest" sounds like a cemetery so I drove around Indian mounds. but to early to dig yet.

I was doing some searching about Indian Mounds and Cherokee last night.

Seems to me there was something at both parks about camping early on in their history.

Cherokee Park

Large shelter | Small shelter | Tot Lot | Park

In 1903 the Park Board recognized the potential of this land as a park because of the spectacular view along the bluffs of the Mississippi. The land was acquired in segments from money donated by James J. Hill and others between 1903 and 1914. Originally used as a campground for tourists, it took much of its present form in 1924 when the roads were paved, trees and shrubs were planted, and horseshoe courts and ball field were added

"brave at heart"=like Braveheart? Scotland? A reference to Highland?

"hill and glen"=is glen another reference to Highland?

"Pitch a tent"=a reference to the Circus Juventas "big top"?
Tue, 01/24/2006 - 9:16 PM Permalink
Terry

It was only Cherokee that the camping tourists were noted.
