Green or Mom - call me when the clue explanations show up, please? Thanks!
Ter, did you call Cindy?
Tell her I've committed hari-kari and still won't be in Monday...
JUST JOKING!
Well, the ONE year I managed to score a half day off during the hunt, I just pick up the kids and probably got 6 blocks when my mom called to tell me it was found!
Depression sets in.
I'm almost sure we can't come out tonight. Hannah gets tired so quickly, she can be a handful after dark. Tomorrow, time will tell. I've got the company party in the evening. Guess I can scratch coming to the paper and digging afterwards.
Sunday - I am totally unprepared for the rehash this early! Daughter #1 has a birthday party invite in the early afternoon. Scheduling should be interesting.
grrr...
SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) is a type of winter depression that affects an estimated half a million people every Winter between September and April, in particular during December, January and February.
It is caused by a biochemical imbalance in the hypothalamus due to the shortening of daylight hours and the lack of sunlight in winter.
For many people SAD is a seriously disabling illness, preventing them from functioning normally without continuous medical treatment.
For others, it is a mild but debilitating condition causing discomfort but not severe suffering. We call this subsyndromal SAD or 'winter blues.'
The day started off well enough... I woke up, read the clue, found out I was still in the right park...read that Green had bottle rockets coming out where sparklies used to be, it was a great morning. I was all ready for being the finder....But first I had that one meeting at work to get thru....Got finished and checked on-line one last time before leaving, and what happens? Depression....Every year I say I'm not going to try to work during the hunt, and once again work got in my way!
:frown:
And if you change jobs, let your new employer know that you've already made plans (reservations, flights, SOMETHING) that can't be changed for next year's Hunt.
Christ. Only six Clues. Damn. I was really up for this year's Hunt. I actually used a shovel today and had plans to actually chop, if not dig.
I never got to use my my headlight that's got a white lite and a nite vision lite.
(sigh) :coolfrown:
Reading Mappy Gooey's book in the back o'your car does NOT count! I wanted to use it in BC, look Cooler - like I knew what I was doing! :sheepish:
I wanted to HUNT with it!
Trouble izz, I can never shake it hard enuff to make it do anything. Never lites up for me. :eyeroll:
Greeny: Don't disappear this year.
BananaForce couldn't find Boreas Rex LVIII (Ted Zweig) (Traditional Cache) at 1/27/2006
Log Date: 1/27/2006
Went looking today. Didn't find. Ran into some medallion hunters who thought it would be here.

And it's such a nice day. Think we're going to go out for a little walk.
Back in a bit.
A number of people are meeting tonight at GW at 7pm for a pity party - everyone is welcome.
congrats to the finders.
hope to see ya at the pity party.
Where's the pity party?
Who's going?
Can I come too?
Everyone's going
Wouldn't be the same without you!
Also was it ever confirmed about a fire pit/ring?
Let's just have it down at Crosby again- that was a good spot.
Choked on my own spit.
What are you doing tonight?
Do we know what part of the park we are having the party?
Don't know. Gotta better offer than The Pity Party? Or are you asking me to be your date?
