Downtown St. Paul off of Market and washington right next to fourth street and the library want more information let me know because we have it all figured out but, we could be wrong
it wont be at rice, no parking, too conjested, ice carvings would all be destroyed, downtown would be terrorized, and the park would be destoryed, they would not put in in rice.
WW: that's what you would think but, it doesn't have to be directly in the park maybe on a pole on the corner or under the bus stop bench that's where they are throwing everyone off.
Of course, we all know it can be hidden at any park within St. Paul - we'll know more by the 5th clue; however, I would be pretty shocked to hear it was at Rice Park - where does the clue about rain shelter and cooking fit in there? It would be very unlikely for the medallion to be hidden there especially because of the reasons repeated earlier regarding destruction, etc., of other carnival activities.
Where to indigents go for shelter from the rain? The library! Best restaraunt in St. Paul? St. Paul Grill! All by Rice Park! Ok, that may be the best reach in 2521 postings, but I had to try.
Landmark Towers is directly north and across the street from rice now they didn't say that the towers or two had to be a radio or water tower did they. No so there is these buildings that say that they are towers right on them also there is a bus stop with shelter and a concession stand> food and also a thiny ma do to stand under while you wait for your food which would keep you away from the rain.
I had thought of Rice Park for a brief moment b/c of the towers and the Landmark Tower- But think about- there is nowhere to park and the ice sculptures would be destroyed- but then again think about how much $ the city would make off the parking meters
But again, like has been said before, highly unlikely that it will be in Rice park because of the sculptures. If it were a big park they would have "let it out" of the bag already...
Very little rev on meteres. No Charge after 4:30 PM. Plus it would really muck up Ordway and St. Paul Grill customer traffic. Big sponsors of St. Paul.
LL - your theories are good - but does anyone know of a time they mixed the medallion hunt location with other carnival activities, such as the ice sculptures? - anyone a history buff on past medallion hunts? - I can't remember a time when the medallion was found in a park where things like the ice sculptures were also taking place - for fear of destruction ,etc.
I briefly stopped at Newell today on the way home from work. It basically meets the clues but something doesn't feel right. Anyway, there were people there digging already. Some told me they were there already yesterday.
So are we out of parks with golf courses? The clue doesn't actually eliminate the parks like last years did but they don't want people digging up a course cuz its expensive to fix
I tried Phalen after last nights clue. The park gates were locked. If it is in Phalen there is plenty of walking to be done to get to the past palace site, which I thought of right away yesterday night.
Where is Rice...Please go on
right behind the tracks there is a water tower you can see
Rice Park - by the Ordway and Landmark Center
with all these ideas, i bet it's found sometime this weekend
Downtown St. Paul off of Market and washington right next to fourth street and the library want more information let me know because we have it all figured out but, we could be wrong
so where is palace park?
LL do share--Rice theories......
Palace is on Jefferson and View
it wont be at rice, no parking, too conjested, ice carvings would all be destroyed, downtown would be terrorized, and the park would be destoryed, they would not put in in rice.
Then do you have aol because this is so slow but, if not it will take a time to explain it all
thanks logan
WRIGHT WERE YOU THINKING PALACE
WW: that's what you would think but, it doesn't have to be directly in the park maybe on a pole on the corner or under the bus stop bench that's where they are throwing everyone off.
everyone thinks that they wouldn't hide it there because of what you mentioned but, you really don't know
I thought it had to hidden inside the park
Logan that is still part of the park
So whats the park for tonight?
I'm just saying I really don;t think it would in Rice Park
I hear a lot of talk about Phalen, earlier today it was Newell and Highland, what has those eliminated?
Well, I think it is but, we all have opinions and I thought maybe that would open up a new door you know just suggesting something new
Of course, we all know it can be hidden at any park within St. Paul - we'll know more by the 5th clue; however, I would be pretty shocked to hear it was at Rice Park - where does the clue about rain shelter and cooking fit in there? Sorry LL, no AOL here. Local ISP only.
That's cool LL

Okay here's our theory's
Landmark Towers is directly north and across the street from rice now they didn't say that the towers or two had to be a radio or water tower did they. Noodle away all, that is what i like to see!!!
You can see also the first state bank #1 right inbetween these buildings if they are talking about that about the ace clue
profitable profession thing right south or across the street the other way is The School of performing arts also the lawson software north
LL, you'd be a good fiction writer!!!
astute> statue there is two of them there to
There is so much stretching here that someone is likely to pull a muscle. Keep on noodling! :]

well, no one else came up with these give us some credit here
Rice is a small very small park
IS anyone thinking palace?? MY personal facvorites are still Neweell and maybe highland....have we ruled out Cherokee because it was just there??
Touche, credit given, and I'll eat crow if it is there. I am still thinking Phalen but I have to get out there and start scoping things out...

Palace doesn't have picnic or pavillions- But I guess who knows if the clue means the park has to

It was just a joke MacGrove

Has antone seen a picture of what it looks like this year?
Sorry Logan..I was a little slow there!
