What does the phrase "walk the line" mean?

Other than what the police tell me after they pull me over.

Cash's career goes from strength to strength, and he finds himself spending more time with June, who divorces her husband at this time. After his romantic intentions are rebuffed one night in rural Georgia, Cash is offered drugs and alcohol and soon begins to behave erratically. June tells him (and many of the other artists on the tour) at one point that they cannot "walk the line", prompting Cash to write "I Walk The Line".

The song is about Cash staying faithful to his wife at the time, Vivian while on the road: I find it very, very easy to be true/I find myself alone when each day is through/Yes, I'll admit that I'm a fool for you/Because you're mine/I walk the line.

He finds it very easy to be true to the woman he loves. He finds himself alone when the day is through, because on the road he doesn't go out after the women. He's a fool for her. Because she's his, he walks the line. He doesn't stray, but he walks the straight and narrow line.

and meanwhile becomes madly in love with june

spends the rest of his Life happy with June

ok...my official answer is this...

It can be any of the following meanings: toe the mark, walk a fine line between good and evil, keep your nose clean, keep a balance in your life style.

Police who stop a person who might be suspected of drinking ask him to wlak the line as part of the sobriety test.

so walk the line means??? ........

.....to walk a fine line between good and evil, keep your nose clean, or keep a balance in your life style?

walk a FINE line and walk the line I think are two different things

I'd rather do what's right than balance good vs. bad.

Yeah yeah, then it depends on your definition of right, but I think most people have an inherent knowledge of that, and usually you know it's wrong if you have to justify that it's right.

this is a multiple thread thought too

"the thin line"

Another hungry look in her eyes again

Pacing the floor

The hunt begins

Skin-tight leather provides my pleasure

Wake my fear, surge wit the pressure

Walk away and leave forever, do I dare?

Raise my eyes, she stands

Holding out healing hands...are you happy now?

Chorus

I walk the thin line for you

Do just what you say to

With fear as my friend

I walk the thin line one more time for you

Addictive face pretending, donÂ’t speak the word

Forbidden sin relenting, I barely heard...

Screams of entry blur my vision

Wake my fear of divine intervention

Crawl away and bleed forever, if you dare

Hand on mouth the game goes on

Love, our stage to play upon

Are you happy now?

Ultralac N is a new generation toluenesulfonamide formaldehyde resin. It performs as a plasticizer in Nitrocellulose, similar to the well known (but now discontinued) Santolite MHP which for decades was the standard sulfonamide formaldehyde plasticizer for nitrocellulose in the Industry.

Yes - that is the stuff - way cooler!! Thanks Kitch. You DO know everything!!

BTW - we use it in the lab to produce microscope slides of the granules. We melt the resin, then sprinkle the granules on top. When the resin herdens - it holds the rocks firmly in place. We can then scrape off the top layers and see the rock under the microscope

I will be the hero at work - thanks to YOU!!
