where golfers cavort...as in stay away in clue #1...could that not also be interprated to frisbee golf...they were not golf specific in that clue...

medallion freak: I don't know of any complete clues that were anagrams. That would be quite the feat indeed to get the rhyming into it. Individual words or pairs of words "Estabrook"/"books rate" in '97 have been known to anagram.

Just a thought, but would you guys like it if I changed my site, so you can be in the cooler and my chatroom on one page? I could always frame the two on one page? Any thoughts?

well stud, my thoughts are that number four could refer to the taste, serve and cooking. I am lost on the relief from the rain - hidden in an umbrella or a gramma hat?

Well here we go with my Highland speal...

Clue #1 - As always no meaning, just TO say it's in St. Paul and to stay off the damn golf courses (hinting it's at a park with a G.C.)

Clue #2 - I refer set your own pace to cross country skiing on the G.C. - Ace belongs to the par 3 hole directly behind the blue water tower - last 2 lines have no meaning.

Clue #3 - This is the most important clue by far - A tower or 2 should come into view in King Boreas direction...with King Boreas direction being north...if you drive north on Sneeling coming from West 7th St...you come over a huge hill, as you go over the hill, almost directly to the north you see the first big blue water tower, after a couple seconds the 2nd large blue water tower comes in to view after being hidden by the first. Meanwhile this all taking place almost directly to the north. Note: the clue says it will only be helpful if you are looking in King Bores direction.

Clue #4 - the clue to me refers to the 2 different G.C.'s...each having a clubhouse to GET OUT OF THE RAIN, also there is a large BBQ area to the east of the Frisbee Golf Course

This is just a hunt but I have noticed that all the activites listed in my explanations surround the Frisbee golf course...cooincidence? I think not : )

Anyway...let me know if I have sold you on highland or if you see any flaws in my devious plan!

Also, I will most likely have a chatroom opened up through Talkcity.com. I talked/chatted with the people who do this, and they will let me know by Thursday if they can do this for me. Talkcity.com has a VERY reliable chat server!

Highlander...

Pretty good...but your emphasis on the towers puts them too far from the treasure site.

Don't get me wrong...being a highlander myself...that would be a perfect location

Highlander--Golf club house is best explanation for "come out of the rain" I have heard.....

"comr out of the rain" what about the highland pavilian?

Wed, 01/26/2000 - 10:54 PM Permalink
PIE

It's only been at PHALEN once in the last 20 years!

It was at HIGHLAND in 94 so there is a slim chance it's there!!

One of my loyal chatters will be getting the paper everynight at 11:00, and calling my cell with the clue! I will then edit my website and have it up around 11:20. Tonight might not happen though, because she has to work she said, but every other night is going to be around 11:20-11:30..... Sound good??

The only thing I can say is ...Saint Paul.

There is a Prince of the North Wind, so I don't know why people are assuming NORTH

Downtown Dave: the reason behind the 2 golf courses and each having their own clubhouse is because it says PLACES to get out of the rain (plural) so I lean towards highland with that

ive never been to palace, everything works though, except its hard to see stuff from hidden falls to the north, due to the trees, and same with highland. but you can sometimes see downtown from highland thru some of the trees.

did a search of king boreas, came up with greek site, that stated boreas, north wind.

Also, this weekend they are having human sled dog races at highland. Meeting at the clubhouse. Don't know if that matters for searching.
