in the middle of October? The most sacred of all months that should be devoted only to the celebration of the greatest holiday that ever was?????

Hey... that is the NEW model... When I bought mine, that is the picture I had in my head... So a year later they increase the engine size, add a sixth gear, and design it just the way I want it. Figures...

Anyone got $17,000 laying around? With your money, I can splurge and go for the fancy paint...

Sweet! That sounds pretty cool... I am not sure how well they work though... From what I remember it opretty much has to be the flourescent kind to get the full glowing effect. Would still be a cool eerie light effect anyway...

hey ares, have you ever made the cheesecloth ghosts?

you blow up balloons, (Really big) and then dip large pieces of cheesecloth in glue, then fashion them around the balloons and allow them to dry. once they are dry and look like ghosts, you pop the balloons and use marker (or felt or what ever) to give them eyes.

Then you hang them with clear fishing wire from the treest and they really look like floating ghosts - at night (during the day the look a little wierd) but night time they are pretty bad ass.

We made those but used liquid starch instead of glue. Very cool!

diggin4it

Yup - that's the way we always did it too....then glue on black eyes and mouth

so what happen's when it rains??

doesn't the starch wash out???
Wed, 09/27/2006 - 10:29 AM Permalink
OT

Probably, but then they're just spookier looking. Don't recall it raining when we put them up though.

Another cool thing we did was clean out a pumpkin, add water and drop some dry ice in. Got the dry ice from the local butcher.
