heh. I know that hospital. Perhaps a little too well, when I broke my elbow in 5 places, I spent a considerable amount of time with their bone docs.

ESD - my aunt used to own the cabins that were below the lighthouse right around there in Two Harbors.

Yea it was. It was a really long hike up a big hill to get there.

I thought it looked like Gilligans Island too. I even told my wife that when I took the shot.

I like the pics from the buildings. Nice veiws.

We haven't been up there in a couple of years, I can't believe how many resorts are being built.

I am going to do an illustration of that one.

As I was taking the photo with my little digital I get this snobby look from some old geek with this camera that must cost more than I make in a year. I was this close to throwing him in the lake camera and all, then Bella says be nice daddy :smile:

Exactly! You could have the most expensive camera in the world and if you don't have an eye for the shot, it doesn't matter one bit.

Here's what the SSP fire looked like from DT Mpls. I have closer shots but wanted to include St. Paul in this one to give perspective. I'm sure RB and me2 had better vantage points than I did.

you know what never ceases to amaze me? and maybe it's why I love the TC's so much.

When you look at a cityscape - any of them, that you guys post, do you know what you see? grass. you see grass, by the side of the roads, and you see trees between the buildings.

I will have to call my chef friend in the city, and arrange a day to go up in one of the big buildings with him and take some photos. Here you see cement. and cars. and bridges.

not nearly as pretty, or welcoming.

photo of san francisco see no grass, and very little trees. Unless you are in Golden Gate Park, it's pretty sparce.
