Matty B\'s is the home of the Cooler Crew. We\'ve got a party going on every evening from 8 until the clue is released. Sunday night, if the hunt goes that long, the bar will be open but food will not be available.
Clues:
Clue No. 1 (Sunday, Jan. 21)
Welcome ice and snow and temperatures low
There’s no time for cold feet!
For searchers’ pleasure we’ve parked the treasure
Where nature lovers each other greet
Clue No. 2 (Monday, Jan. 22)
Boreas\' vast realm can overwhelm
Even diggers used to the long haul
So here\'s advice to put your hunt on ice:
Look no farther than good old St. Paul
Clue No. 3 (Tuesday, Jan. 23)
Hunters can be surly but in clue-time it’s early
Be safe, friends, and in the hunt revel
Near land that is high the treasure is nigh
Vagueness rules and that’s on the level

they claim to be doing everything at Harriet Island - pulling all activities from every venue BUT the unveiling is gonna be at Como Park?! wacked!
Heh, nice unveiling location as well.
a clue???
I like the teal one with the yellow snowflake.
I bet within a couple years it will be called "The cities winter carnival" or something similar. hope not...
I think Victoria covered it a little in her paper. I've read a late 1800's pioneer press article where even Minnepolis wanted to steal out ice palace one year because we wer'nt making one. Try to get St. Paulites over to their side of the river. Bastards! :eyeroll:
The mpls skyline is beautiful to look at but theres no place like home. personally my favorites have always been the Ramsey and Dakota County areas.
Don't you know that's the only reason to build skyscrapers in minneapolis?
Both at the same time is awesome!
Very cooler...
Rice Park, for instance, has so many events. They have people to clean up after them. Also the city decides what gets planted. I don't want to feel like one of those inmate that gets out to clean the parks and roadways either. Alot of the big parks and downtown parks already have maintenance crews. I chose a small park, currently in front of my house, a low traffic area where I can run out with the kids with garbage bags and clear it in 15 minutes. (techniqually we already do this). I really didn't want some old ladies garden club to come in and pull out what we've already planted as well without hopefully having to talk with us if we're also volunteers.
I'd like to take on another park but I havn't had the time to look through the list. Something like Orchard or Merriam would be nice.
It smells like a giant bon-fire all over the park right now.
I love the smell of bon-fire in the morning.
they did another "controlled burn" up there
damn, I thought that said "controlled substance" burn. I was almost out the door ....
If it was a controlled substance burn, I think I would have gotten the flyer for that.
think this thing could hold schnaaps
and on a side note... who drinks schnapps?
Nobody I know :eyeroll:
Ya'll should be drinking WHISKEY!
or... (twiddles fingers) costa rican rum!
hmmm... might have to get 'me hands on some of that!
Actually, I only drink the stuff during those 12 days in January. Otherwise I'm a faithful 7&7 guy or IceHouse man. :ooh:
Or squeegee it off of CM into my camelback.
and peppermint in water bottles in class in H.S.
it's way way way too sweet.
CM - I had 7&7's at the halloween party.. it was the only non-generic alcohol they had.
I'm a dirty (and spicy if they have it) martini girl.
or whiskey / tequilla / scotch out of a flask.
speaking of which - I got a really nice nifty flask this summer for my trip home :0)
I knew dat
20 ounce bottles work splendiforously for captain/coke, jameson/coke or any other beverage that turns out being dark anyways...
although during the winter-carnival I prefer 1 liter bottles
gotta agree with that water bottle/clear alcohol deal... thats how we used to sneak drinks into X-Fest and OzzFest over at FloatRite....
paying concert venue prices for alcohol sucks....
etched glass
nah, I'll just keep it :pbpt:
While it's plastic, I kinda like the design. A few modifications and that would be one nice hunting tool.
Heh, like part of the description wording "Removeable Blade can be placed on the T-handle for aggressive snow removal"
