there have ben 2 other clues with a colon in the past 10 yrs: and the colon had no meaning to the clue. not much help from those clues.
...well, at least it spells out L-O... :eyeroll:
HOLCOMBE CIRCLE :ooh:
Boreas' vast realm can overwhelm
and using the Boreas Decoder Ring from the 1939 carnival, we take the number of letters in each word of the line and implement the well-known Decoder Equation of (-1, +1, -4, -2, -7) and we arrive at the numbers 55112...zip code for New Brighton...home of Long Lake Regional Park....sheesh...why am I the only guy (take note, Redbear) out here looking?
 :eyeroll:
Pig's eye lake nature preserve is part of battle creek part...according to friends of parks.
for you bird noodlers- pigs eye lake is one of the largest egret rookeries in the mid west. I don't buy it but thought I'd share.

Description:
Pig's Eye Lake is an undeveloped 1159 acre natural area surrounded by river industry. It contains one of the largest heron and egret rookeries in a metropolitan area in the upper midwest. Recently eagles have established nests there and some of them winter there. The peninsula where the rookery is, is protected by the Department of Natural Resources as a Scientific and Natural Area. The area provides spectacular bird watching. The herons and egrets return to St. Paul around St. Patrick's Day, March l7. Best bird watching is on the south side of the Mississippi River from the bluffs in South St. Paul.
Joe
1159 acres- that is an overwhelming area for the long haul hunt
OK it's a big stretch but wev'e over cooked these noodles. :ooh:
I've been sharing the clues with a couple incredible people online, who have NO clue about the hunt, or St.Paul, and both of them brought up birds.
BTW- I was down on Warner road today, just off 61, and a Bald Eagle soared above my truck.....
That was SO very cooler.
I saw a Robin yesterday. either a cold stupid robin. or a robin confused by global warmning(and still cold)
Don't they know we have no worms?

Cherokee noodle: (Or how my mind has twisted the two clues to confirm my expectation that the medallion is in Cherokee park.)
#1
Welcome ice and snow and temperatures low
ice and snow anagram: (a second win) Kirk Condie has found the medallion twice, the first time he found it in Newell park, the second time it was found in Cherokee park. Kirk Condie was a well respected searcher that appears in No Time For Cold Feet, according to the Not Another Hollywood Movie website. (More on why this is an anagram later..)
There's no time for cold feet!
A reference from the writer to the movie, both as a nod to the film and the various personalities that the writer has come to know.
For searchers' pleasure we've parked our treasure
Stating that the medallion is in a park, but the parked alludes to the history of Cherokee park when it used to be a popular place to park on a date.
Where nature lovers each other greet
Confirming that it is in a park, but near where two or more parks, not people meet. Cherokee park meets the Bruce Vento Scenic overlook at the intersection of 13 and Annapolis. There is also a sign leading to the scenic overlook posted at the southern end of the above mentioned parking area. Multiple parks meet up to Cherokee park, Lillydale, Bruce Vento Scenic overlook and Harriet Island are all with a stones throw at various locations.
#2
Boreas' vast realm can overwhelm
Boreas was king of the north, this is saying don't get overwhelmed and stay in the southern half of the city.
Even diggers used to the long haul
Diggers is a reference to the clay mining that occurred under and around Cherokee park. The long haul is a reference to the length of the high bridge
So here's advice to put your hunt on ice:
Why the semi-colon after ice? While it could be grammatically correct might it be a flag waving out that says, hey notice me? If that flag is acceptable 'on ice' then where should we look? back to clue # 1 for the earlier instance.. ahh.. now you see the beginnings of my dilemna..
Look no farther than good old St. Paul
As long as we take this to simply mean the medallion is in St. Paul it works. The string that unravels the whole tapestry I've woven is Cherokee park is not really considered part of 'old St. Paul' The west side of St. Paul was originally a township and small city of West St. Paul, that was annexed many years after the incorporation of the City iof St. Paul. Irvine and Rice parks are the oldest parks in St. Paul. So hopefully 'old' is just a meaningless word in this line.
With that said: My mind is dissecting this way too much ..I think I should be able to definitively pinpoint the exact loaction of the medallion within 10 feet once the next clue comes out in 3.356734 hours.
You may think I'm mental, right now I do too  It's all part of the fun of the hunt. Happy hunting everyone!
I vote out.
