Matty B\'s is the home of the Cooler Crew. We\'ve got a party going on every evening from 8 until the clue is released. Sunday night, if the hunt goes that long, the bar will be open but food will not be available.
Recent Clues:
Clue #1 Congrats to the finder, to all a reminder
To hunt hard from first to last clues
Medallion I is history. Now a new mystery
Begins -- strap on your hunting shoes
To some its demented, for all unprecedented
But hunters’ thirst must be quenched
Tell sister and brother we’ve hidden another
In a park where a body can be benched
Our 2nd prize? Don’t laugh -- 10-thou cut in half
So get out there even if it’s snowy
And as a special bonus -- some might say an onus --
A meal with our own Clueless Joey
Good hunting to you, let this be the first clue
Think of a woodsy retreat
It won’t be so hard if you channel the bard
You’ll get warm and smell pretty sweet

Edited to add: We go through this every year. We wish there was just a nice, cheap corner bar in DT St. Paul (close to the PP).
THE NAME OF IT IS - "BRAD'S POCKETS"
Very good!
It does, but you can't unnerstand it because it has no lips!
THIS MORNING...
I WAS WATCHING SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS...
MRS. PUFF HAD A "GOOD NOODLE BOARD"
THEY GETS STARS FOR GOOD NOODLES....NOT SURE WHAT THAT WAS ALL ABOUT.
I am going to como in about an hour - then will probably take tomorrow mostly off
Or Marydale...Mary (sister) Dale (brother)....I was in Merriam Park last night. I did not see anything but a lot of people had dug by the baseball fields.
Then again, I think of "The Glass Menagerie" and think of ice sculptures, which puts me right back at Como.
Its hidden in a box of animal crackers.
"Sister and Brother" could fit who found the medallion was found by when it was hidden in Cherokee in 1998.
"where a body can be benched" = "Chair"-o-kee
menagerie wild = Zoo
menagerie tame = Carousel
Both collections of fun, one man-made; one not.
But as you point out, "A collection of fun wild or tame." Not "A zoo of fun."
You could say "A collection of fun, zoo or carousel."
Also, the question that comes to mind with "A collection of fun wild or tame," is "What's a fun collection of wild things?" "What's a fun collection of tame things?"
Collection wild - Zoo
Collection tame - Carousel
To me I don't see it as substituting zoo or carousel for "wild" or "tame," but rather answering "What's a wild or tame collection? A zoo and a carousel.
And both fit the usual definition or thought of animals.
Johann Friedrich von Schiller

"MJ "bard" my "channel" lock pliers and didn't bring dem back."
Now I don't have to look for a zoo at Cherokee! :goofy:
Could they be refering to the xcel center? It would fit wild perfectly, and the old civic center used to host the shrine circus (menagerie).
Woodsy Retreat?
Hmm.. these clues could fit downtown I suppose.
But feel free to shoot that theory down.
Warm and smell pretty sweet. Possibly Candyland in downtown, unless there's another candy shop around. Only thing there is I don't know of a park close to that, it's on Wabasha..
 :goofy:
Give up all hope, your too much of a dope
To find where it's been hidden.
So go home and start prayin', that at night you won't be slain...
Fear will make you bed-ridden.
I don't know what that means, but I am scared... I think it is saying Swede Hollow...
as stolen from the coolercrew.com webisite...
Found by brother and sister combo, Steve Doyle and Maureen Hursey, who took home the $4,000 prize because they had registered a button. Well, of course they registered a button – they had only been hunting for the medallion since they were kids. And, finally, at 1.45 p.m. on February 4 in Cherokee Park, the 32-year-old boy and 37-year-old girl were able to rest this childhood dream.
I like that idea...
