Recent Clues:

Clue #1 Congrats to the finder, to all a reminder
To hunt hard from first to last clues
Medallion I is history. Now a new mystery
Begins -- strap on your hunting shoes

To some its demented, for all unprecedented
But hunters’ thirst must be quenched
Tell sister and brother we’ve hidden another
In a park where a body can be benched

Our 2nd prize? Don’t laugh -- 10-thou cut in half
So get out there even if it’s snowy
And as a special bonus -- some might say an onus --
A meal with our own Clueless Joey

Good hunting to you, let this be the first clue
Think of a woodsy retreat
It won’t be so hard if you channel the bard
You’ll get warm and smell pretty sweet
Clue #2 If you\'re thinking big you\'re sure to dig
Near flora with growing pain
Winter or summer is never a bummer
A menagerie of fun wild or tame
Clue #3 Success on the third clue will never do
We had to stash a second
Round you go if you seek to know
Where swatters of orbs are beckoned
Clue #4: A walk in the park can be a lark
If cell phones are left at home
Heed the siren of your desirin\'
And do not revolt against this poem
Clue #5 Over hill and dale hit the trail
With a handy locating device
Fulfill your wishes like loaves and fishes
And put your victory on ice
Clue #6 A famous singer and a diamond dinger
Might put you oh so close to the spot
With the whites of your eyes you should look for the prize
Within this convenient plot
Clue #7 Don\'t turn up your noses at the city of roses
The home of the park that you seek
It\'s just north of town so come on down
Our hunt is not for the meek
Clue #8 Don\'t go mental just head for Central
Lexington Avenue will show you the way
Your spirits won\'t sag when you see the big flag
Into the trees you want to stray

Seems to me and what's left of my memory, that on event nights, the paper is released a little later.

I was gonna take that Joe, but I figured I'd be nice and let someone else have it.

Unless Zeph is the clue writer, it's a fake.

I dont think they're going to release it down there til midnight....

but i'm probably wrong.... usually am, anyhow.

On the Treasure Hunt portion ofthe PP site, it has "Event night" listed as lasting until midnight....

I'm guessing thats when they'll hand the papers out....

I haven't heard from Timmers either.
Fri, 01/26/2007 - 9:54 PM Permalink
OT

Several people have posted the same clue. Must be it.

Shark sounds sincere about someone calling him. Someone must have said he was Zephy and he trusted him.

Lame.

Fri, 01/26/2007 - 10:01 PM Permalink

Double check this in your THG - mine's in the car, but the bird sanctuary is to the west of the pavillion area in the Larry Ho section of Como
Fri, 01/26/2007 - 10:02 PM Permalink
Wicked Nick

Whats the poem?
Fri, 01/26/2007 - 10:03 PM Permalink

Fri, 01/26/2007 - 10:04 PM Permalink

Yep we were just there a few hrs ago, 2 trails lead up into from behind the butterfly pavillion up to the street/ parking lot
Fri, 01/26/2007 - 10:05 PM Permalink
Terry

Just need to put this out there...first time I read this clue - Homer's Odyssey came to mind.
Fri, 01/26/2007 - 10:06 PM Permalink
Wicked Nick

I was thinking the same thing... Crosby
Fri, 01/26/2007 - 10:08 PM Permalink
Terry

We were there earlier too...just wasn't sure about the direction from the pavillion area. I get easily turned around with north, south, east, west directions.

wolfpac

What about HF again?
Fri, 01/26/2007 - 10:09 PM Permalink
Terry

All the clues need to fit.

I know there must be a civil defense siren at Como or McMurray field...has to be...but I don't know where.
Fri, 01/26/2007 - 10:10 PM Permalink
OTiS

This thing is going to the distance I think!

Just got back from PP. This clue is so frustrating, I came straight home.
Fri, 01/26/2007 - 10:13 PM Permalink
Terry

Evildoer - any sirens at Edgecumbe?
Fri, 01/26/2007 - 10:14 PM Permalink
Terry

Fire, police, civil defense?

Though why fire or police or civil defense sirens would connect to desirin' the medallion escapes reason.
Fri, 01/26/2007 - 10:16 PM Permalink
excavating stud

Checked it out this evening. I don't think there's one. Bummer.
Fri, 01/26/2007 - 10:17 PM Permalink

A walk in the park can be a lark - lark can also mean to engage in harmless fun or mischief

To frolic
Fri, 01/26/2007 - 10:17 PM Permalink
Wicked Nick

because the park police like to "try" to keep us out of the parks. :goofy:

If cell phones are left at home - Look for pay phones?
Fri, 01/26/2007 - 10:24 PM Permalink
Terry

I think, until I figure out what this all means, seems fairly crazy for a clue.
Fri, 01/26/2007 - 10:27 PM Permalink
Terry

There is a Lark Ave. in Roseville/Maplewood...but I don't think it's near Central Park.
