Clue #1 Congrats to the finder, to all a reminder
To hunt hard from first to last clues
Medallion I is history. Now a new mystery
Begins -- strap on your hunting shoes
To some its demented, for all unprecedented
But hunters’ thirst must be quenched
Tell sister and brother we’ve hidden another
In a park where a body can be benched
Our 2nd prize? Don’t laugh -- 10-thou cut in half
So get out there even if it’s snowy
And as a special bonus -- some might say an onus --
A meal with our own Clueless Joey
Good hunting to you, let this be the first clue
Think of a woodsy retreat
It won’t be so hard if you channel the bard
You’ll get warm and smell pretty sweet

The workhouse once stood about where the pool at Como is now. No more workhouse, no more cells.

I'm still liking IM, maybe this clue is saying stay away from the cliffs sirens calling from the water below?
nice noodle...
CAN YOU GET ME THE LICENSE PLATE #.....THANK YOU...
ODDS ARE THE GUY IS JUST DRIVING AROUND IN CIRCLES
Had a great breakfast of scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce. Quite yummy!
The walk thru the park could be a lark if you continue west past the cellless place towards what once used to be the channel of the bard.
That said... No Jake,no nobuddy. I was out there alone, and you know what THAT means! (However, I was out alone yesterday where when going back did run into some 'Heads.)
Mappy, you're just upset that you can't get the clues to match the Southern Zone where you were looking yesterday.
I was going where Jake was going. In fact, I'm not letting him outta my sight.
...Atlas, Charles Atlas, man of mettle..
(Thanks!) I edited it.
My qwest (hee) has just added more parks, not narrowed them down!
I may just spend the day revolting against birds and bards with cell phones.
I can't stop thinking about stupid Phalen.
Just saw you. Had I seen Jake, I'da been hot on his heels. Even though he was in the wrong area o'the park. Eventually he's gonna git to the rite spot.
Just past the gate on Lexington, under the bridge, I saw a light and told her someone was hunting under there. She looked and saw nothing. I looked and it was gone! And no dark outline of a person. :worried:
Then passing the golf course she said, I see a light down there. I looked and it was gone! She said, "well I saw something a second ago".
Seriously, the place is teeming with orbs! :pbpt:
But then I see ghosts too. :sheepish:
You know... Rose is over by Grotto - in the Mappy Gooey and Jake area o'the Park - and if you follow your siren you're gonna end up on the rocks...
LAKE CoNo Blvd's over there, too. Channel?
Audubon place, Hamline (Why didn't they say something about pigs dancing????), stay away from Lexington.
OH!!! The park IS full! But of Frisbe tossers!! ALL OVER THE PLACE!!!
Any mermaid statues/paintings of signifigance?
2. One hunt over in 3 days...
Under these circumstances, it seems odd for our "pied piper" to narrow it down this quickly.
Did I dream this? :worried:
And we are needing a 12 clue hunt in 9 clues so general rules about how much is given usually by clue 4 would not pertain to this hunt.
In early Greek art the Sirens were represented as birds with large heads and scaly feet, and sometimes manes, of lions. Later, they were represented as female figures with the legs of birds, with or without wings playing a variety of musical instruments, especially harps. The 10th century encyclopedia Suda [1] says that from their chests up Sirens had the form of sparrows, below they were women, or, alternatively, that they were little birds with women's faces. Birds were chosen because of their characteristic, beautiful voices. However, later in history Sirens were sometimes also depicted as beautiful women (whose bodies, not only their voices, are seductive), or even as mermaids (half woman, half fish). The fact that in some languages (such as Spanish, French, Italian, Polish or Portuguese) the word for mermaid is Siren, Sirena, Syrena or Sereia adds to this confusion. In English however, "Siren" does not commonly denote "mermaid".
If you get the special with eggs with smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce ittiz $6.XX.
When you say "continue past west past the cellless place towards what once used to be the channel of the bard"
What are u considering the cell less place. The old jail?
Are what are u considering the channel of the bard?
Perry CoNo (he was a bard/singer) Avenue.

A walk in the park can be a lark
If cell phones are left at home
Heed the siren of your desirin'
And do not revolt against this poem
by taking the first letter of each word and phoneticaly throwin heed in there......actually not a bad n00dle
Or, if you'd channel CoNo Avenue on, it would hit Hamline.
The dark lady was who he was infatuated with after he no longer wrote about the young man (in the sonnets). You can google more about her/him if you are interested in the whole history and analysis.
Although in mythology of course, the sirens lead you to death.
Where exactly is that mermaid fountain in the park?
Pavilion
Or, "A walk in the park could be a lark if you heed the siren and don't revolt."
I thought about it, but the other side of the park seems, to me, to fit better. But, maybe the other features just have to be in the park.
