Recent Clues:

Clue #1 Congrats to the finder, to all a reminder
To hunt hard from first to last clues
Medallion I is history. Now a new mystery
Begins -- strap on your hunting shoes

To some its demented, for all unprecedented
But hunters’ thirst must be quenched
Tell sister and brother we’ve hidden another
In a park where a body can be benched

Our 2nd prize? Don’t laugh -- 10-thou cut in half
So get out there even if it’s snowy
And as a special bonus -- some might say an onus --
A meal with our own Clueless Joey

Good hunting to you, let this be the first clue
Think of a woodsy retreat
It won’t be so hard if you channel the bard
You’ll get warm and smell pretty sweet
Clue #2 If you\'re thinking big you\'re sure to dig
Near flora with growing pain
Winter or summer is never a bummer
A menagerie of fun wild or tame
Clue #3 Success on the third clue will never do
We had to stash a second
Round you go if you seek to know
Where swatters of orbs are beckoned
Clue #4: A walk in the park can be a lark
If cell phones are left at home
Heed the siren of your desirin\'
And do not revolt against this poem
Clue #5 Over hill and dale hit the trail
With a handy locating device
Fulfill your wishes like loaves and fishes
And put your victory on ice
Clue #6 A famous singer and a diamond dinger
Might put you oh so close to the spot
With the whites of your eyes you should look for the prize
Within this convenient plot
Clue #7 Don\'t turn up your noses at the city of roses
The home of the park that you seek
It\'s just north of town so come on down
Our hunt is not for the meek
Clue #8 Don\'t go mental just head for Central
Lexington Avenue will show you the way
Your spirits won\'t sag when you see the big flag
Into the trees you want to stray

"flora with growing pain ", could that have meant to be deciphered as "Rose"-"ill". Seems like a dumb clue if it was.

multiple streets really. looks like this is the second time they gave us multiple streets.

There are only three churches on the St. Paul side of the river that serve as Loaves and Fishes dining areas:

Faith Lutheran at Charles and Mackubin

St. Matthews on the west side

Dorothy Day Center on 6th St. Downtown.

All other locations are Minneapolis, Richfield and Bloomington.

just in case the clue writer is on this web looking at our posts.... yes you made it hard and caught us off guard

Alright, todays clue confirms its a park at Dale and Sextant in Roseville. A Sextant is a device for measuring where you are, its the grandpa's version of a GPS.

Looks like computergames does payoff to play.

ah man, I was all cranky when I was thinkin I'd have to go all the way the way north to the como for the hunt. Now I gotta go to Roseville. Sucks.

I think it is KC (Korn). Why else would he be suspiciously missing during the whole hunt?

I saw this on the PP board:

5745.7 in reply to 5745.6

Its at central. I have been saying it since wensday. There is a weather siren in the NW corner of Central off of lexington, two ballfileds there, Ampitheater is there, about 4,000 benches, severl pieces A Larks Birdhouse. To many coincidences for me.

Cenetal is not even a 5 min drive from my house- so I don't care

Central is such a HUGE park. Seeing its not a St. Paul park, the PP had as long as they wanted to to walk around and hide it. Its time to realy study the clues hard, and figure out what points it down to where it is.

I had my mock hunt in Central, which I'm glad because I have a good memory of what's there. I just don't like how Central feels. I'm still in the Como camp, I must say.

Kids - I'm having trouble moving out of Como too. Everything has fit so well.

Maybe its level in Cleveland, oh that was last time, sorry guys but after what i did a few days ago, i'm thinking he is not going to pinpoint again for a few years.

There's still a Como camp?

For anyone hunting...while you do so, remember the rehash bash - next Sunday at whatever park it's found in.

Keep your eyes open for a good location within the park.

Are we having the rehash at Hidden Falls or the new park?
Sat, 01/27/2007 - 11:05 PM Permalink

The clever device Dale stumbeled over is a sextant. A sextant is grandpa's version of a GPS.
Sat, 01/27/2007 - 11:05 PM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

Central Park is much better suited for one than Hidden Falls is. And even if it is in Como, that is also better suited for one.

That's what I'm wondering. This is definitive in my book.

Personally, I don't care. I'll go where ever we go. But, I suspect some will want to honor Jake's win.

I sure understand that, Leelabel, but we can't do two parks.

The majority of those hunting will have hunted this second park...not Hidden Falls.

I'm still in the Como camp- but central is looking better on paper. Have to check it out tomorrow. From the looks of it that park is bigger than Como and more overwhelming.
Sat, 01/27/2007 - 11:23 PM Permalink
leelabell

Like I said, I don't care. If it were up to me, it would whatever place has an inside.

Yes, Central is big, big, big.

I have a gut feeling about something. Why isn't d in dale capilized?
Sat, 01/27/2007 - 11:26 PM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

I guess overall it's a pretty big park, but it seems to me they've narrowed it down to a fairly small area.
Sat, 01/27/2007 - 11:26 PM Permalink
wolfpac

It's a "long haul" to get to HF.
Sat, 01/27/2007 - 11:27 PM Permalink
Allison Wonderland

That would be just a little too obvious. They're free to take a bit of creative license with such things during a hunt.
Sat, 01/27/2007 - 11:27 PM Permalink
tom

Its hard to tell what is narrowed down by the clues, and what is actually fact about the park. By any chance do you know if people can adopt park benches out in Centeral?
Sat, 01/27/2007 - 11:30 PM Permalink
tom

Reason I ask is I know at other parks in St. Paul, they usually have a plack with a persons name and a lil info about them. This could help determain which bench its near.

Time for me to sleep on all this.

Goodnight, happy hunting and SCDs!
Sat, 01/27/2007 - 11:32 PM Permalink

Well, at least the benches I looked at didn't have any dedications, but I don't know if it's the case that they can't or that none of them do.

I'm falling asleep and hope to go hunting in the morning so I guess it's off to bed for me as well.

Treasure hunt or not doesnt matter to them.

By the way tell sister and brother was their way of saying it was out of st paul.

I was there all day and came home and slept before the next clue so I could hunt tonight and now this screws my schedule , I'm wondering if it would do any good to make some calls and let roseville know how they should be acting!

Soooo I was at the PP building (again) tonight...patiently waiting in line for the next clue...I was talking with some very nice people...finally the doors open and they let us in...then who do I see (trying to be all sneaky) a member of the CAMO crew…actually 3 of them…what they do is they hang out towards the front…after arriving 5 minutes before the door opens…then as people start entering…they “sneak” in line…they must think that they are just that important huh? Maybe they should have some respect for the rest of us.

Well Remember this CAMO crewÂ…cheaters never prosperÂ…and just because you get inline 52 people sooner than you should be, doesnÂ’t give you any advantageÂ…

Also please let it be knownÂ…that if you really want to upset someoneÂ…it doesnÂ’t take much for that individual to figure out what vehicle is yoursÂ…or where you liveÂ…espically in this day and age...although, I would never stoop that lowÂ…

I am just out to have a good timeÂ…and I donÂ’t really appreciate someone like you pushinÂ’ people around.

Please see the attachment for the picture…the two guys who “budged” are: (1) the big tall guy in the CAMO to the right and (2) the guy in the black jacket…with the clack cap
