Recent Clues:

Clue #1 Congrats to the finder, to all a reminder
To hunt hard from first to last clues
Medallion I is history. Now a new mystery
Begins -- strap on your hunting shoes

To some its demented, for all unprecedented
But hunters’ thirst must be quenched
Tell sister and brother we’ve hidden another
In a park where a body can be benched

Our 2nd prize? Don’t laugh -- 10-thou cut in half
So get out there even if it’s snowy
And as a special bonus -- some might say an onus --
A meal with our own Clueless Joey

Good hunting to you, let this be the first clue
Think of a woodsy retreat
It won’t be so hard if you channel the bard
You’ll get warm and smell pretty sweet
Clue #2 If you\'re thinking big you\'re sure to dig
Near flora with growing pain
Winter or summer is never a bummer
A menagerie of fun wild or tame
Clue #3 Success on the third clue will never do
We had to stash a second
Round you go if you seek to know
Where swatters of orbs are beckoned
Clue #4: A walk in the park can be a lark
If cell phones are left at home
Heed the siren of your desirin\'
And do not revolt against this poem
Clue #5 Over hill and dale hit the trail
With a handy locating device
Fulfill your wishes like loaves and fishes
And put your victory on ice
Clue #6 A famous singer and a diamond dinger
Might put you oh so close to the spot
With the whites of your eyes you should look for the prize
Within this convenient plot
Clue #7 Don\'t turn up your noses at the city of roses
The home of the park that you seek
It\'s just north of town so come on down
Our hunt is not for the meek
Clue #8 Don\'t go mental just head for Central
Lexington Avenue will show you the way
Your spirits won\'t sag when you see the big flag
Into the trees you want to stray

sorry if someone mentione this already but I dont feel like slogging through the past - Doesn't CP have those hi (re)voltage lines running through it? I'm guessing the cell phone won't work there - so you might as well leave it at home

Its been in st paul for so long I interpreted that to be tell the surrounding areas that we have hidden another one in their back yards.Especially that there was never a mention of st paul.

"Over Hill, Over Dale"

(From "Midsummer Night's Dream")

Over hill, over dale,

    Through bush, through briar,

Over park, over pale,

    Through blood, through fire,

I do wander everywhere,

Swifter than the mooneÂ’s sphere;

And I serve the fairy queen,

To dew her orbs upon the green.

The cowslips tall her pensioners be:

In their gold coats spots you see;

Those be rubies, fairy favours,

In those freckles live their savours:

I must go seek some dewdrops here,

And hang a pearl in every cowslipÂ’s ear.

Farewell, thou lob of spirits; IÂ’ll be gone:

Our queen and all her elves come here anon.

Wasn't sure if this was posted here yet...

And just for fun and my own revelry....

The Caissons Go

             Rolling Along

Words and music by Edmund L. Gruber.

Over hill, over dale

We have hit the dusty trail,

And those Caissons go rolling along.

In and out, hear them shout, :pbpt:

    Counter march and right about,

And the Caissons go rolling along.

        Then it's hi! hi! hee!

        In the field artillery,

Shout out your numbers loud and strong,

        For where e'er you go,

         You will always know

That the Caissons go rolling along.

Over hill, over dale

As we hit the dusty trail,

And the Caissons go rolling along.

In and out, hear them shout,

     Counter march and right about

And the Caissons go rolling along.

        Then it's hi! hi! hee!

        In the field artillery,

Shout out your numbers loud and strong,

        For where e'er you go,

         You will always know

That the Caissons go rolling along.

That the Caissons go rolling along.

That the Caissons go rolling along.

Crack me up! I don't get what people don't get about the cops kicking them outta a park!

Roseville by enkneeother name is Roseville. It would take weeks, months, for Mom Press to talk Roseville into letting them put the Med there, if they even could accomplish that, not minutes.

In all my [few] years of hunting I have never ever been kicked out of a park, even when I was in the wrong one.

Not to mention, Roseville would capitulate with their jewel of a park and endanger their arboretum? When they won't risk just flora in Keller?

Doesn't wa(r)sh with me. But I'm glad folks are there because there's less in CoNo.

My take on #5: $5,000 is on the line if you find the Med in ice.

Noodling further:

loaves *could* be Bear Crossing with fishes being Lake CoNo.

Torpedo and sundial, though the latter is not hand-held. But for the sake of ease the CW could liken that to a compass due to the compass points. I really like ter's noolde about hoe, shovel, rake, etc.

Hill/Sermon on the Mount: Ittiz on a hill.

There's some path that goes up and down. The one that comes to mind is over by the pavillon.

There are 8 Zones in CoNo in Mappy Gooey's book. I'm thinking maybe five or so have been touched upon - I'm not real sure because I've not taken all the clues and ticked off zones. But you know what I mean? I think heretofore zones are being notated and maybe somewhere in there the Med location. The safest, to the park would be Beulah, Larry Ho, and Pony Rides. But the Med's never been - unprecedented - in Lake South Zone which today's Clue points me to.

Another thought...

"Fulfill your wishes like loaves and fishes,"

If you're hungry and want to eat (wishes) you can get both loaves and fishes at Black Bear Crossing.

They specialize in "woodsy" kind'a foods - like my eggs with smoked salmon, wild rice soup, stuff like that - and "loaves" as in muffins, scones, etc. Not to mention ittiz a "woodsy retreat."

Kind'a stretch. Yeah. One would have to be in the know. Not info the general public would know.

I'm not religious in the way most folks are. I believe, but differently.

I am ssssooooo uncomfortable with the bible references we've had in the last couple of years. Just sets my teeth on edge and makes me feel yucky.

To me ittiz a church and state kind'a deal. The twain should not meet.

tim_the_hunter

heh, I "budged" in line and nobody took pictures of me.

I guess I can see how they could be mad, but I didn't do it on purpose I was just talking to zeph and they let us in early so I went in. The only "advantage" gained is that it is posted on here faster, because last night if you were checking this thread it was probably on here before the people in the back of the line got a paper.

I still love the people that grab the paper and run out of there like crazy people though, they are cute.

I don't think so. Folks were doing tetherball, golf, broomball, tennis...

Only baseball has Sultan(s) of Swat.

I think there's something in there about 'covering all bases,' but ittiz just a fuzzy noodle in the back o'my head.

From PP board on peeps getting kicked outta central:

Unprecedented...no phones..means..ON CLUE 12..you will NOT BE ABLE TO call your buddy from the PP at 11:30 with the clue...you'll have to WAIT until the park opens the next morning..

The parks are public property..so as long as everyone follows the rules...you can do whatever you want in them...NO COP CAN kick youout unless you are there AFTERHOURS (unprecented)..NO MORE DRUNKEN ALL NIGHT HUNTING...

----------- which would also fit with "don't revolt"

PP couldn't get permission from Roseville to leave the park open all night.

hmmm...
