The only parks with both Picnic and Pavilions will rule many out here are the ones with BOTH pic/pav; cherokee, como, hidden falls and CROSBY,highland, mounds, newell, Harriet Island(closed to public)and last but not least and my fav=PHALEN
what i dont like about this year PP, is the clues are too vauge, and just weird, 2 years ago, they were damn hard, but i could ponder all day about them to stay busy, then when solved we knew it was solved. we just have no idea if its solved
I thought the well TRAINED refered to train tracks?????
I'm gonna go with the 'well-trained eye' to mean the same as 'read this well' = look closely at this clue. What's the thought about the key to #6 being HUNTER or ATTACK?
STALLION.....'well trained eye'= KSTP channel 5 eye in the sky> KSTP tower which lines up directly north(boreas) with the theory of clue 2'the loot'=DULUTH street
JUst a Hint but I think if ever it was apparent that there is an anagram or a word puzzle within the clue(s) it is here and now. I dont know what yet, but then again, i just printed the clues out :) Oh btw, hi GoldenBoy :)
Because there's not enough clues left to pinpoint a spot in a huge park. Usually if it's a big park they let you know early, then they can string you along in the park for a while.
If we go 1 or 2 more clues without having a really good idea of the park, i'd say it's almost definitely a small one.
You can't even narrow it down to 2 or 3 parks yet...there are at least 4 or 5 that it could POSSIBLY be...
Treasure Hunter's Guide - I've seen picture #6 - great start to a helpful sight - labelling the pictures for those of us newer to the area would be a tremendous help. Throw us a bone here - where is that bridge? PLEASE
RR HEY.. AFTER DAY 3 I HAD A BIG QUESTION MARK AT DULUTH AND CASE...DO THINK THID=S COULD BE SOMETHING..??? ...I DON'T KNOW IT..IT IS SOUTH OF PHALEN AND SOUND KINDA BIG WITH 6 SOFTBALL FIELS AND 2 BASEBALL FIELS...DON'T KNOW ABOUT "SHELTERS" OR "GRILLS FOR COOKING"???
seek....I will let you in on it all all you have to do is Critique me!!
Actually, I found Iris Park in the Treasure Hunter's Guide - page 43, but it is near Porky's supposedly.
tink--could you tell those folks at the PP to take it easy with us next year? You're KILLING me, here!
where is iris?
Anybody think it could be hidden in a glasses case??
Doug, I don't even have a clue who writes the clues, etc. And I've been there for nearly six years. It's a closely guarded secret. :)
Yep, N.D., between West & East Lynhurst Ave is Iris Place.
Hey, Pie...got to have a personal meeting with the Rock when he was at Mall of America.....he asked how you were(the meeting was real)...
Pie--shall heed your advice...scope out parks tomorrow morn.
can't remember seeing towers in swede hollow before...shall look harder tomorrow
Hello all, sorry I am sooooo late
jb I know you know email the answer to 'b' me before 1:00am before these bloodless freaks figure it out thanks

There's two CELL towers just north of the entrance!

1. SWEDE HOLLOW Too small
2. BATTLE CREEK off 61 Could be
3. NEWELL Too small
What about highland? Why not? What does not fit? I give up on the mall after tonights clue
Pie--I like your #2 ranking....
I think we still need to make sense of "well-trained eye"
not just "eye" but "WELL TRAINED"
This was chosen for a reason. I think it's the key phrase of the clue. But haven't figured it out yet.
I LIKE WHAT U ARE SAYING BUT WHAT DO U WANNA KNOW
Isn't the north end of Phalen (up where the ice castle statue thingie is) in Maplewood, therefore not being in St. Paul?
where is lynherst, so i can find iris on my map,
Well-trained eye mean that we that there is something to see that maybe we are not seeing in the clues. Telling us to look harder? stretch
well-trained eye? Think of bows and arrows
OK EVERYONE MOMS MADE COCO AND WE ARE GOING TO NEWELL ANY ONE JOINING US????
Where is Y2G?
They haven't even pinpointed a park yet and it's already clue 6...I think a small park is more and more likely.
I'm thinking newell, phalen, swede hollow, battle creek...
haven't really considered linwood or highland, have to think about that
well trained eye, sniper, eariler a reference to an ace, and a chase, witch is the riffleing groove in a gun muzzle,
Iris Park is in the midway area - just south of University Avenue just west of Fairview.
I thought the well TRAINED refered to train tracks?????

I don't think we can count parks out that are "to small"
that's what everyone said about Conway last year until it was obvious
well trained eye = in red wallet
Pie, we keep telling them, and telling them. Show them picture #6. I'm going to bed.
STALLION.....'well trained eye'= KSTP channel 5 eye in the sky> KSTP tower which lines up directly north(boreas) with the theory of clue 2'the loot'=DULUTH street
Why not Mounds park?
dont forget about langford, it was hidden thier before, but i havent tried to make it fit
Why smaller park, Digg?
JUst a Hint but I think if ever it was apparent that there is an anagram or a word puzzle within the clue(s) it is here and now. I dont know what yet, but then again, i just printed the clues out :) Oh btw, hi GoldenBoy :)
It's at Baker!!
Am I sellin' you fools?
ANYONE GOING TO NEWELL?????????????????
They will never do Mounds park again. To many morons were digging on the mounds. Native American got quite upset.
yawn

WHAT IT THE DEAL WITH PICTURE #6???
You keep saying that, but no one knows what you're talking about. Be more specific.
Treasure Hunter's Guide - I've seen picture #6 - great start to a helpful sight - labelling the pictures for those of us newer to the area would be a tremendous help. Throw us a bone here - where is that bridge? PLEASE
going to sleep on it.
good luck....you're gonna need it.

if they dont stop being so darn vauge, and give us a normal riddle, im going to think their is no meddallion this year, cuz it wasnt y2k compliant
Thanks, Digg..so PP is vauge on the park when it is small, vauge on the location of mediallion if it is big..got ya. What is Pic #6?
well trained=triad newell??
