Thanks KC. Unfortunately, I had them all erased by the head of security at the TOOL concert tonight. As much as I wanted to kick his ass even after I told him my story, I had to somehow think of his side and let things go. I put my camera back in my car and bought another ticket for $10 just to get in the door. He was doing it to everyone so I didn't feel bad. I just couldn't understand why he would have such a problem with me promoting the band for free. What a jackass. :eyeroll:

Usually they just take your battery. If I had to do it over again I think I'd involve more SPPD to see what the jerkoff can actually get away with. Kicking me out is one thing but erasing all of my pictures, even before the show started, is totally something else. :eyeroll: :coolfrown:

ClueMaster, have you used the memory card that was erased yet?

If not, it might be worth a try to recover them. I'll see if I can find one of those programs I've heard about. Even after a reformat, a lot of the data is technically still there. The only real way to erase everything is to reformat and write over the entire card.

they tried to do that at a WWE Pay-Per-View a few years back, that we went to, out in Milwaukee.....

this was when people were just starting to buy digital cameras like crazy....

security noticed that we had snuck one in, during one of the matches, and came over to warn us about it.... it was something to the effect of put it away - if they saw it again they'd take it...

Steve ended up asking them why we couldnt have it, and the guy had no idea why.... just that we couldnt... "just because I said so, and i'm in charge"

so as he contiued to talk crap, and threaten us I took his picture....

our entire section started chanting at the guy "let them go! let them go! let them go!"... dude ended up just backing down and walking away.....

wow. I don't get the whole thing about standing in line for technology. Concert tickets I get - it's a once shot deal, but you are going to have the phone (playstation etc) as a possession.

I was listening to TWiT earlier this week and they were talking about why Apple chose to release it at such an odd time, 6pm on a Friday.

They think it's because if something bad happens, people will have the weekend to calm down before the stock market opens on Monday.

although I agree it's silly to wait in line, I'm not really on the same train of thought as this because I truly believe they spent an extra amount of time on product development due to this being such a revolutionary product. most of the time when an electronic gadget launches they are under extreme pressure to get it out NOW and that leads to the bugs and problems, this wasn't the case for the iphone.

We'll see what happens in a week.

It's hard to test for all the stuff people will put a product through while using it, no matter how much you prepare for it.

And lets face it, we're all human, and we all make mistakes. That and the media is just waiting for a story to pounce on. If the darned thing can live up to all the hype, I'd be amazed.

And no, I'm not bashing it, or apple, or anyone wanting one.
