somthing irking you? pissing you off? rant about it here.

IMHO...you've put up with this sh#$ for so long!! I think you must be a sadomasicst. :worried: lol
Suggestions have been made by this group that you should leave this place even before the new owners took over and all that turn-over transition BS that you went through.
How long has that been? Yet you keep going back for more....??
..........things that make you go "hmmmm"???
With your skills you would be an asset to many organizations, of which I am sure would reward you with commendation and compensation!!
How long have you worked for them? Is it the benefits that are keeping you there? Lots of vacation or something? Maybe it's an office babe he isn't telling us about. That's it! Inter office romance. No we know why he's doing it to himself. There can't be any other reason. That's the only reason that I'd put up with so much shit.
Actually the one plus I like about here is my hours aren't set. I show up in the morning when I feel like it. Since I'm salaried, I figure I'll use that to an advantage.
Beyond that, I guess I'm just lazy enough to not want to pursue other things at the moment. The longer I'm here though, the less lazy I am. I guess I also am a glutton for punishment. That or I enjoy being right a lot.
Case in point, we change paper vendors. I said it was a bad idea, and that we would lose customers over it because another vendor wouldn't be able to supply our needs, especially if their sales staff makes a bunch of empty promises. I'm sitting here now telling my coworkers "I told you so, I told you so".
As for inter office romance. Hah! I haven't seen one woman come through these doors yet that I would even consider dating. Maybe that's why I stay, it's like watching reality tv working here. Well, that or with the women it would be more like watching jerry springer.
yes, but how many times can the martyer fall on his own sword?
I used to work for a company that makes yours sound about par. (CEO would call me from europe at 2am my time - screaming at me at home in bed - why there weren't things done.. and I wasn't even his assistant - I was the CFO's aka his calm brothers - assistant.
Having my back go out on me around 4pm friday in my back yard. I just bent over to put a rabbit trap down on the ground. I could not get back up and ended up laying on the ground. Crawled (literally) into the house and made it onto my bed but could not move to even roll over. Luckily I could reach the phone and call Penny and have her come home and get me some ice for it. Nothing worked. I finally gave up and called an ambulance to come get me just after 6pm. I literally could not even roll over. They kept me overnight and took xrays, mri, and gave me morphine. They don't know what happened and basically just wanted to kill the pain enough to let me go home. I checked out around 7 saturday. The pain is still here but better with the meds. I can get up and walk some, but I walk like I'm 90 all hunched over. This sucks. I have to see my doctor this week and go over the mri and do some therapy with some other place. I have to take a handfull of pills 4 times a day. yucky
I can swing by Tomorrow OR Tueday lunchtime with some lunch for yah.
dontcha know you can't catch a rabbit without having a rabbitsfoot in your pocket for goodluck first? that goes into a whole nother thought...what came first? the rabbit? or the rabbitsfoot?
when you were laying there did you take a moment to just stare into the blue sky? (kinda like slowing down to smell the roses moment) At least it wasnt the other day when it rained!!
Pennys takin care of me for now. I can probly manage now. I can get up and move some, just gotta move slow for a while.
I'll have to try the rabbits foot trick since I didn't get one yet.
I took a moment to think while I was there, but I didn't think about the blue sky. I was thinking more along the lines of if I didn't get inside pretty fast I would miss Penny leaving work, and might be stuck here until around 7 pm when she finally gets home after her running around. I sure as heck didn't want my grumpy old neighbor Fred to find me out there.
I'm hoping the meds will work though.
Yea I'm glad it wasn't raining. Woulda sucked even more.
Thanks for the offer, but I think I can manage when she's at work. I still gotta go to school.
its @ the ford dealer up there. im @ home. i should be @ soccer but Im not mentally with it.
thanks for the love. if i had been closer to home it would be so bad. but we wern't. got a ride that took 2 hours to get there n two hours home thanks to the drag race traffic....
im just coming to terms with this. it suxs. im irritated.
Hang in there 3M. Sucks being old huh? I just now got over my fricken back going out after almost 3 weeks. My bro just threw his out and had to crawl to the car after discin' today. Back pain sucks so bad!!
HAHAHAHA!! I thought the same thing. Who am I and why am I too lazy to get up from this chair to go out in the family room and put on the DVR. The same thing happens at night when my show ends and it goes to regular TV where Oprah is always on. Yikes! :worried:
I just got word that they don't make my headlight housing anymore since the plastic manufacturer got in a fight with GM and stopped making them. It's been over 3 weeks that my car is still in the shop. They can't find any new or used housings anywhere in the country. I bought a membership to a parts website and was able to find one used one in 'rough shape' for $750. (GM's list was $225 then they upped it to $510 once they couldn't get them any longer) The guy knew exactly what was going on and knew there was a demand for them. This is a car who's last model year was only one year ago. There's gonna be a bunch of pissed off people going forward. I know there's a number of STS' in the body shop for front end repairs and are on hold for months waiting for these headlights.
I know what NOT to do for it. Don't try standing on your head when you're on day 3 of a thrown out back. That'll put you down for a few weeks. Mine usually goes away after three days of taking it easy and hitting it with ice packs and a vibrating back message.
And your car troubles, Vino and CM. If I were you Vino, I'd call around to an independent shop. It always seems that dealerships charge more. Some small shops even tow the thing to their shop to do the work.
CM, have you checked places like Craig's List? Or Ebay? Ebay has "specialty stores" that are different from the regular auctions. My son-in-law bought van doors for the Viking Mobile from Craig's List once.
I don't really have a choice OT. The car is about 2 hours away from me. My time is worth far more than being put out the money. It is just irritating. $745 is a cabin at tahoe for a weekend... or heck 2 trips to mexico!
I did call my mechanic, he said the part alone was $245 dollars of it, and the pump is INSIDE the fuel tank - so it's labor intensive.
It comes out to being about $100 more than he would have charged me, and I didn't have to pay the 100 miles of towing fees.
ice is what I hear, over and over, from so many practitioners. and its what has helped me, consistently, when my back has gotten real bad. also has virtually no side effects, and effectively reduces inflammation, which takes pressure off the nerves. easy, cheap and safe.
You should take paracetamol or ibuprofen at the maximum dose. There is no use in pussyfooting about or indulging in self-martyrdom. You have to really attack the pain. Being as active as you can and taking the painkillers cannot possibly do you any harm.
I do admit to being spoiled when it comes to living in America and being able to get what I want. There has got to be somewhere that carries a used one. Someone has to have a caddy in their junkyard
so are you looking to trade in?
Im calling chris digger tonight to set up an appointment to look at cars tomorrow or this week.

The lost Dr. Seuss Poem
I love my job!
I love my job, I love the pay!
I love it more and more each day.
I love my boss, he is the best!
I love his boss and all the rest.
I love my office and its location, I hate to have to go on vacation.
I love my furniture, drab and grey, and piles of paper that grow each day!
I think my job is really swell, there's nothing else I love so well.
I love to work among my peers, I love their leers, and jeers and sneers.
I love my computer and its software.
I hug it often though it won't care. I love each program and every file.
I'd love them more if they worked a while.
I'm happy to be here. I am. I am.
I'm the happiest slave of the Firm, I am.
I love this work, I love these chores.
I love the meetings with deadly bores.
I love my job- I'll say it again - I even love those friendly men.
Those friendly men who've come today
in clean white coats to take me away!
Although it sounds like your job makes you feel more like the bag than the holder
sure nothing to worry about-- just one of those things in a life that make a person ::sigh::
been awhile since Ive done that
one question is what prevents you from leaving?
#1 answer...2 lazy to look for another job.
mike,...OWE! :frown:

Being sick.
I have a cold. I'm snotty (more than my usual persona) my neck hurts. I sound gravelly and my ears are plugged.
oh yeah... and i'm stuck at work all day - waiting for the dealership to call and talk to me about my car.
fun fun
$745 dollars to fix the fuel pump.
good gravy
I thought of your back. What did you do for it?
