I both do and don't see the need myself.

I'd like to try to get an events calendar instead..

I know it can be done in google calendar I'm just not sure how to load it here...since its an iframe

I would also prefer a calendar. If Ian isn't checking or reading everything, that is his issue. Doesn't mean we need to start another thread.

An interactive calendar would be nice

Yeah...I have two actually. I had to sign in to access the calendar.

I see the events in Jan & Feb but can only add on my personal calendar I think. Can you see my post today?

on the lower left you should have a personal and an "cooler crew" under "my calenders"

select the "cooler crew" (unselect your personal one) and than make the "event"

You have to have a gmail account to sign into in order to view the calendar. Just an FYI

I did both and still think I'm adding things in my own calendar. Even after unchecking my box.

cluemaster..try adding something for jan 4th...

all you should have to do is click on the 4th...than it should have a pop up box...

than you select which calender you want to post it in...

I did but it automatically posts in in my calendar even with my calendar off.

CM - There is an option when you go to change the calendar to also add it to your own. Is that what you're doing?

Just to be clear:

1. Open calendar.

2. Click on date.

3. Add an event or edit an event

4, Choose whether or not to also have it on your personal calendar.

When you are creating the event, there is an open window on that small screen that lets you select where you want the event to be posted.

Double check that box and be sure it says Cooler Crew.

I use google apps for our association up north that also has a calendar.

ya I wanted proof...as cluey said he couldn't do it so I was going nuts thinking I screw'd up...

Let's see if this helps - photo 1 shows what I see when clicking on a date. #2 is what happens when I click on the create event button. What am I missing? I only see the add to my calendar when clicking an event already posted but I can't create an event within the shared calendar. I do have editing rights don't I?

I put in everyones birthday and made it reoccuring yearly. Is there anyway to transfer my calendar events to the shared calendar? Or only the other way around?

CM - the birthdays showing up in green does indicate they are going into your calendar. If you go to your calendar and select an event, you should see at the bottom of the event box a spot to check off if you want that added to any other calendar. Try adding what ended up in your personal calendar to the Cooler Crew calendar using that method.
