One can always justify splurging on something. My mother always said she was using her cigarette and beer money when she bought herself something extravagant. She didn't drink or smoke so justified it that way.
I'm saving up my beer money to buy myself a pair of those cool boots.
I bought gas this morning for $2.69. The only reason I bought any is I wanted a $1 off the car wash and then I forgot to buy the car wash. But I went back and got my dollar off. No, I didn't make a special trip to get my dollar discount. :pbpt:

Just got home from a brunch at Southview with a bunch of my girlfriends. Had a wonderful time! Great food and great company. I love my friends and am so fortunate to have these wonderful ladies as my friends. We've been best friends for 50 years or more.
Last Saturday night, I had dinner with two of my friends (we've been friends for about 4 years) One is newly married, and even more newly - pregnant.
We were sitting there musing about where we'd all be in 5 years when we get together for our monthly dinners & how much we will have all changed by then.
