The most lame explanation for a clue that I can remember= 2 years ago at Cherokee, they said there was some graffiti on the tree by where the medallion was found. Supposedly the word, which was faintly visible, matched one of the clues. Hell, I inspected that word during the hunt. It wasn't even the word they claimed.
I am the idiot, I wanted Railroad Island. There was a big eye on the fence of the park, the train on the sign there said, "were on the right track" I almost had an accident when I drove by it. I knew it was too small though.
Bring wood if you can, food if you like, probably stuff like Green suggested. Only fire, don't plan on any power.
As for clue #2, not really sure. Maybe it really was just meant to say there were tennis courts in the park, but I don't know about that. If it was found in a card box, then that may relate to ace.
Thanks for the kicks hanging out in here, even though I am 2000 miles away. Bought my daughter a button at Christmas, and told her Thursday night to go to Newell, she was just too busy.......
Next year I might have to arrange my schedule to be back home for the hunt. Have a great party and thanks again for the kicks. And you all don't have to fight, remember "Cooler-Heads" will prevail.
joe
I would head out there.
I would too...

count me in
I think we would too.
Maybe 8:00? Time to get some stuff together beforehand and get the word out.
Jake,
You are not a moron about the statue. I have a daily email list to old friends in Chicago. They count on me to update them.
I had a friend in Boston, mention the statue thing, and I was convinced! One of the reasons I didnt like Newell
I wanted SWEDE HOLLOW and I'm predicting right NOW that next year they will put in in SEDE HOLLOW or in BATEs front yard!!!!
The fish have a sedating effect if you watch them long enough...
We gonna have a STB-L! (Shoot The Breeze-Live!) at Newell?
PPHOOL!!! My gods, I bet he's passed out from shock!!! I just thought o'him!!!
I can get some wood...
We'll need dogs, buns, and marshmellows (I'm ALWAYS thinking o'food!!). I think I'll forego the 'tater salad...
Allison Wonderland, what were your thoughts on clue #2?
Just to let you all know, there is no alcohol allowed in the parks...so drink at your own risk.
green are you in?
So does anyone have access to wood? Or if everyone brought a little. Or.......maybe we could burn that swing bench! (just kidding)
I think my husband and I can go - what should we bring?
DOWNTOWN DAVE:
I see you're still up to your old tricks!!!!!!! JOE this and JOE that!!!
I am the idiot, I wanted Railroad Island. There was a big eye on the fence of the park, the train on the sign there said, "were on the right track" I almost had an accident when I drove by it. I knew it was too small though.
I wish I had some of the wood from up north! We have tons up there and none here.
We've got a ton of wood we could bring!
I R IN!
Pie--i still miss by a mile. I have no fuel for the fire, but could bring any necessary food stuffs.
I got some stuff we can burn
Sitting in the cold crying with a bunch o'equally disgruntled Diggers beats sitting at home in the warmth alone!
Are people saying 8:00 or what?
I have fuel for the fire.......next years hunt!

I was on the basketball/volleyball early this afternoon. What time was it found, and where is the the bench swing?
Save one, Guide, so we know what we're updating!
is any depressed soul invited?
Yes, I think 8:00. That should give everyone time to get their wood, clues, food etc. together.

We've got wood.
Family has firewood, Dad will bring pallets too.

THE COIN HAS BEEN FOUND

Clue #2--it's in a card box--the rest is a throw away, I think.
Th bench swing is back a little ways towards Hewitt from the playground area.
Everyone is invited. Even Pie. Though perhaps some come at their own risk (hehe)
I like this! A chance to gather and join in the common depression we all share right after it's been found.
Well, I did hear something about a big football game tomorrow...maybe I'll check that out.
Any depressed Digger's invited!
I've some neat - not your usual - mustard I'll drag along incase there's dogs there. I've "normal" mustard, too, for the less adventuresome...
girlfriend and i will be there for sure and possibly friends jack and or jim
Will Mom, if you and Dad have enough wood and will bring it, that should do. Need any help with it?
8pm TONITE at Newell?
8PM, tonight at Newell
I'll pick up some dogs and buns at Lem's.
Hey gang,
Thanks for the kicks hanging out in here, even though I am 2000 miles away. Bought my daughter a button at Christmas, and told her Thursday night to go to Newell, she was just too busy.......
