How is it, on a phone system, that it can be dead for anywhere from half an hour to an hour, and then when someone calls in, another random caller, or two, or three, all call at the exact same time?
I guess it's just one of those things, I've seen it happen any time I've had to answer phones at a place. Aggrivating though.
My theory: The phone, like anything else that involves energy transference, operates on the principle of negative attracts negative and positive attracts positive. If someone calls you, the vibes trigger someone else who has been meaning to call you to remember to call you. And they "tell" two friends, and so on, and so on.
My phone rang this morning at 9:30AM - a neighbor calling under the guise of seeing if I am still "with the living" (?????) but really she was calling to tell me (again) that my house will never sell in this market (the market here is stable, and my house is not even ON the market yet, but I made the mistake of telling her I was *thinking* of moving back to MN).
Since then, I have had calls from a friend who is going to do some lawn care out here, but wants to park her mother inside my house while she works, which would be acceptable if my house was still not a construction zone, and her mother was reliable to use her walker, which neither are the case.
And another call from a friend who calls in between all her sales calls because she needs someone to talk to while she drives - I usually see it coming on caller ID and let it go to voice mail, but happened to pick it up on the non-caller ID phone this time.
So, then while I'm near the phone, I think I might as well make those haircut and oil change appointments...
And of course, the calls keep coming.
The phone can go without ringing here, sometimes. for several days.
It's going to be like 95 today.. and I'm wearing jeans.. granted with flips and a t-shirt, but jeans, cause I don't have any shorts that are 'work appropriate'
huge trouble waking up, fragging myself out of bed and getting out the door by 8 everyday and then on stupid Saturday I'm awake, tossing and turning and can't get back to sleep past fricken 6 am!!!
the only good thing about it is the coffee and movies and sunny morning while the kids are still asleep!!!
I'm tempted to drive out just to watch. But I just have too much to do on this nice morning. I have a new camera I'd like to try out but I'm still trying to figure out how to load the film. :ooh:
On most new cameras you just put the film in and make sure the part sticking out lays flat over to the right. Just close the cover and it winds by itself.
... and barbie goes camping... I'm sure I'll have some pretty funny photos when I return - tonight is the big day of shopping (now THAT's something I can embrace) for the trip
He is initially all excited about the trip, because he loves the shopping associated with going.
Martin: Now are you sure you're gonna be warm enough?
Niles: No problem there, I dressed in layers. Polo, Eddie Bauer and Timberland.
Frasier: You look like a skinny Elmer Fudd.
Niles: Dad, wait'll you see all the stuff I got. I had no idea how much I liked fishing until I realized all the shopping involved. Graphite poles...
He's got this black and white cap on, that makes him look like a hooded merganser!
Enjoy the camping-shopping. And the camping! Can't wait to see the pics.
I love being out in nature, but the last few times I went tent camping I was so uncomfortable, despite an inflatable sleeping pad, that I didn't sleep at all. Sleep-deprived is not fun, under any circumstances.
This time the car was sitting on the street in front of the House that I am still at tell the end of the week!!! because the roommate had to have it moved so the person that is moving in could unload some stuff!!!!!!!

One big thing to me would be getting a place of my own sometime. Kinda sick of throwing money away on rent...

Kidding! No, it's a 33mm Canon Rebel and there are a lot of instructions, including on how to load the film.
Loading and Unloading
Turn the Mode Dial to any setting except OFF (Mode Dial??)
I guess I'd better read the manual and get this mode thing right first.
Or didja get it from a thrift store?
I love thrift store shoppin.... but nothing ever comes with directions from those places...
I got it from a daughter for Mother's Day.
