I mentioned the ramp in the geocaching folder, plus the picture kinda shows a ramp I suppose.
They do have some cameras in the ramp, mostly on the entrances and exits. Nothing to monitor the cars parked inside the ramp. Apparently that's too expensive :eyeroll:
Just got the call from the dealership, the glass won't be in until sometime tomorrow. Sucks being carless, especially when I pay good money to have it. On the plus side, I guess I'm not putting any miles on it today.
On a different note, I managed to get chewed out by a customer service person today in an online chat.
Karen: you need to spend time exploring and play around
Karen: with a license $299
Karen: there is no room for us to put in endless support hours
Karen: the reason for the low price is most of customers are developers
Karen: self service gas pump. we dont' charge surplus
Karen: of course can't provide 5 star service
Karen: unless you are willing to pay for our service hours
This after asking her questions about this website chat software to use on the company's sales sites. Might I add their documentation leaves much to the imagination? lol, I just have to laugh it off anymore.
dealing with incompetent a/c "installers". moron screwed up something. only got half the job done today. still using the old furnace with the new compressor. the house has cooled from 83 to 81 in 6 hours, and i'd imagine most of that was because it cooled off slightly outside. needless to say i have a telephone date with a sales manager first thing in the morning,
You would think the 1st thing to be replaced would be the old furnace. What did they do? Put the new evaporator in the old furnace? Pretty dumb if they did because then they have to take it apart again to install the new furnace.
When I was a cook at Hardee's years ago, the AC unit above the kitchen died. That is a NEW kind of hot! We'd take turns scampering into the walk-in freezer for 'supplies'. Our manager was somewhere between "Slow" and "Special". He took about two weeks to get it repaired.
That took its toll - before the summer was done, about four other devices failed , probably from heat stress caused by the bad roof unit. The failing compressor for the industrial sized icemaker put out so much heat we couldn't tell when the roof unit had been repaired! I started volunteering for the early AM breakfast shifts just so I didn't have to grill in 120 degree air.
that's what i was thinking as well mikey. yup. a/c first, furnace second. of course, it probably isn't a big deal for him that he'll have to take it all apart to re-do it, since i have an installation order that says that a new line set is included. needless to say the old line set was still in place when i checked last night. which makes me wonder if the old vapor line is big enough.
the compressor is correctly sized (well slightly over sized; 3 tons instead of 2.5 tons, since we like to keep the house slightly over cooled) with a 4 ton a coil. idiot didn't know a thing about hooking it up and tc said he was on the phone constantly with someone who did. and when he did finally get it all hooked up, he originally hooked something up backwards which kept the unit from cycling back on. man i hope he didn't connect the lines backwards and screw up the compressor. for his sake.
at any rate, when i checked on the compressor unit this morning, the thing is blowing outside temperature air out the top of it.
Okay, 3 days now without my car, waiting on that window. Sitting around the house because I don't have a car to get anywhere.
It wouldn't be so bad if I could get other time off, this is the only time off I've gotten all year, and I can't even enjoy it. I guess that's what I get though for thinking I could actually take a vacation
Compressors come with the charge already inside. The guy never should have hooked up the unit until the furnace was in and the new line set run and new coil in place. (please tell me they didn't hook up the old evap coil to the new condenser) If your old unit was a burnout, you probly have acid in the lines and hooking up the new one to that probly just lost half the life of the new one. (unless they did a triple evacuation) I'd demand a whole new one be installed all at once. Sounds like they screwed it up royaly.
lol yes I can get a rental, NO I can't take a rental on as many miles as I'm planning to drive up north. Yes I should have driven it with a taped up window, even though I HATE my car looking like I can't afford to fix it. And no, I've seen the crappy jobs and mismatched windows from those fix it at your work or home auto glass places, I wanted it done right and matched. I guess that's my own fault, *sigh*
Finally got it back and heading out now. Idiots had it for 3 days and they couldn't even vacuum the glas off of the seats   I had to wait for them to do that.
Lesson learned, vacations suck, I'll plan less of them from now on.
The smoke from the fires is so thick here that all the shadows reflections are amber (which is cool) but it's the weekend of the balloon classic so you can hardly see all the hot air balloons in the sky (this morning I saw the energizer bunny and a gold fish fly by)
My asthma thanks to the fires. playing outdoor sports is esp. hard right now.
2) studying all weekend for my spanish test, and being really ready for it, only for this morning when I got to my class, all the words seemed to have fallen out of my head. I could barely form a complete sentence much less use the prederite or incomplete past tense. (I blame my cold meds)
3) The fires. The campground we were suppose to go to this weekend, is um... well - possibly not there anymore.
oh yeah they screwed it up royally. they put a 2 ton in where the order said 3. so they had to rip the whole damn works apart and do it over. but they did get it done, although the furnace still needs the pvc hooked up to it.
as far as the charge goes, the charge is good for 15 feet of line and we've got 30 or so.
Glad to hear they fixed the problems anyways. They probly adjusted the charge. Usaully the charge is ok to 30ft. If it was only good to 15ft, its only a matter of a couple ounces to adust it.
makes me sad

Do you park in the ramp right next to the bank..?
BTW - You're my BFF2!

What size AC did they install? Too small?

OPEC sells oil for $136.00 a barrel.
OPEC nations buy U.S. grain at $7.00 a bushel.
Solution: Sell grain for $136.00 a bushel to the OPEC nations.

What about a rental? Doesn't your insurance pay for a rental?
Glass is usually a one day thing. Do they have any explanation?
I wouldn't take my car anywhere I cant get a rental out of it IF its gonna be a couple days.

Da doo ron ron ron, da doo ron ron ron
Someboy told me that her name was Jill
Da doo ron ron ron, da doo ron ron ron
Yes, my heart stood still
Yes, her name was Jill
And when I walked her home
da doo ron ron ron, da doo ron ron ron
I knew what she was thinkin' when she caught my eye
Da doo ron ron ron, da doo ron ron ron
I looked so quiet but my oh my
Da doo ron ron ron, da doo ron ron ron
Yes, she caught my eye
Yes, but my oh my
And when I walked her home
da doo ron ron ron, da doo ron ron ron
Well, I picked her up at seven and she looked so fine
Da doo ron ron ron, da doo ron ron ron
Someday soon I'm gonna make her mine
Da doo ron ron ron, da doo ron ron ron
Yes, he looked so fine
Yes, I'll make her mine
And when I walked her home
da doo ron ron ron, da doo ron ron ron
Yeah, yeah, yeah
da doo ron ron ron, da doo ron ron ron
(repeat & fade)
this song stuck in my head
