Niece got dumped last week - first love - dated steady, hard core for 10 months.... she was with us this past weekend - did great, feeling better...
Got a call from my son tonight - niece is off the deep end, ran away from home and was trying to get up north again - hit hard rain and got lost so she called her confidant my son Tom... Thank God he is actually turning into an adult - convinced her to turn around and come to me..
Problem - she is HORRIBLE with directions - should have been here over an hour ago from Blaine - OH - my brother just called, she missed her exit and is in FAIRBAULT!!! He got her checked into a hotel there....

Sarah just started with this boy and only a month in but already having dinner with the boys parents, bonfires and shopping and hanging out ALOT. They mesh real well - she clashed with her last boyfiend. 10 months and serious? thats gotta be very very hard. I don't look forward to this break up when it happens.

last night I was golfing, and the woman in the 4 some, could NOT get my name right. Half the time I was stacy, the other half the time I was stephanie - the 2 men, just called me Sam - which is HUGELY different than either name.
Her name was Nancy so half way through when she kept messing mine up - I started calling her Joan. Why? cause it was random.
so, this lady next door has always been nice, but sometime in the past year or so, a switch was flipped....
she's constantly making snide remarks, if we're sitting in our backyard with the dogs..... and going out of her way to make it known that she suddenly dislikes us for whatever reason...
last night, after it had cooled off, we were having a small fire in our ring - just Carolyn, and myself....
the fire-department showed up, after about an hour - huge truck w/ ladders and all.... got stuck, trying to back outta our dead-end alley -
said they gotta call about an out of hand, dangerous fire....
uh... yeah....
the fire cheif took one look at what we had going on, and got pissed off that someone wasted their time, when they could have been doing something important....
he could see nothing illegal was going on, and everything was within order, and under-control...
im sick of that f'n b!tch...
one of these next nights, we're gonna sit out there, and grill some food, after Carolyn gets home from work, at like midnight-12:30...
nothing illegal about eating, either....
she wants us to be the a-hole neighbors, that we can be...
she seems to be the only person who has a problem.... everybody else usually wants to come over and hang out/talk for a while....
I had neighbors like that once - I would go over to their house when they would leave at night and re-arrange their xmas decorations or halloween pumpkins during the holidays - just so they would be as nuts as they drove me.
It is me and a bottle of wine and some alone time!! hehe she needs a good shaging!!!

did this to a girl who royally ticked me off about oh... 4? months ago - I also signed her up for everything wedding, since she had just broken up with her BF (and him too as the groom) so when he started getting the phone calls from the planners as well HE got mad at her.
Then one day, when I knew the mailman was in route - I sat and watched as poor mr. mailman stuffed her mailbox with catalogs.
still get a smirk thinking about it.
