ok, why can we subscribe to folders but we can't NOT subscribe - like delete them off the radar or main screen so we don't even see them???? This would be sooooooooooooooooo nice.
I figured out I can bookmark the page for quick access but is there any other way? I'm really trying to find the best way for the kids to go straight to a page and not go further in to Ableminds. I'd like to delete all the folders off OR have only access to the 1 thread for them (or at least beans).
I have Ali hooked up directly into the kids thread but she can still go other places if she figures out how. I know 3M blocked her from his no-mod threads anyway. Just ask the thread owner to block her from any thread you don't want her in. I'm sure they would be happy to help.
Ali doesn't care for other threads right now anyway.
one thing I'm also trying to avoid is if they click on a link across the top and get lost not knowing how to get back because there are too many threads - if the folders/threads arn't there to begin with than if they end up on the membrs forum main page with the list of folders than it would be east because there would be only one folder for her to go to. All this could be set up in preferences just like subscriptions are.
If we are home than its no big deal to help them but when they are on at home and we are on at work we can't monitor it as close.
I liked mikeys idea too about bookmarking the post but I don't have the time to go back and find it. .... doh! I can click on your link and then bookmark it too :wink:
one of my points is that I don't even remember what the link is to, just that it was important to me to remember to go back to it.
When you bookmark it you can type in a name or comment on what your bookmarking. Type in what ever you want to call it. I do that sometimes during the hunt. I'll bookmark say Clue 3 or something. Comes in handy when people make predictions and what not
