Sometimes it's good to have things out in the open. Hopefully things will be said and then be done.
Otherwise we will have issues here that none of us want.
omg..I didn't even notice that...I was at home and that keyboard sucks sometimes..

 remove inappropriate post
as moderator, can you please remove iceman's post on my cooler chick thread (#313) as it is inapproriate. If you need further details as to why this is inappropriate please contact me at 612-388-5558.
at this point i'm leaving this up 2 you all...
what the fuck is going on??
this place has really seemed strange this summer
seems to me a lot of "CATTIN'" is going on....
I think you're correct in things getting catty here lately. Put people on your ignore list if you don't want to read a certain person's post.
I don't think we should be going around deleting posts unless there is reason to do so because they don't meet the standards of the Code of Conduct.
Again - not our business.
Drama! Sheesh - I for one am really getting sick of it - literally & physically :frown:
BTW - I sent them both PM's on the subject
but I'm sure the rumor mill hit brad faster than me...
I would just say we need to be careful not to get involved in anything that may happen outside this forum.
I just hope we don't see anymore cattiness, drama, or ugliness.
My tolerance for childishness isn't at it's highest level these days.
problem 1: yes, he brought unwanted content in here, with his post, which given the external context can easily be construed as harassment.
problem 2: she responded with lol and then wtf. unfortunately, the only thing he will read from that response isn't the wtf, its the lol. girl's gotta learn how to say no very very loudly. sue tried to explain that to her the other day when she called and asked if we'd seen his post.
makes me want to slam my head on thx's desk.
If she brought it 2 your attention????
I'm not stupid...I also know that brad knew about this as being an issue before me as well...
why did she ask me to do this...?? seems all very strange.....

she asked jana on what to do........I would assume that jana would have told brad about it....
oh well....I'm not going to let something like this bug me further...
which was of course to tell him in no uncertain terms to cut the crap out, and that responding with something like lol only adds fuel to the fire.
but I really didn't want to get involved...
I was, in no way taking anything outside of the cooler into consideration regarding the deleting of the post. I did nothing more than put on my manager hat and know what constitutes harassment. In a work setting she would need some kind of proof that she asked him to stop and he didn't. I know she has many many times outside the cooler but still didn't take that into consideration. I looked at it as if someone wrote "Kitch Is Gay" on a bathroom wall and he asked to have us clean it off. I'd clean it off but it would still be his responsibility to ask the 'artist' to stop if he knew who he was. I weighed the options and figured we might be worse off if someone came to one of us regarding a concern and we didn't do anything about it. I think she asked Kitch to delete it because most people think he IS the moderator.
damn i hate that everybody knows I'm the one hat...
thank god i'm good looking, adorable and everybody loves me...

under most circumstances i would agree. until that activity outside the forum spills over in here. this goes even farther than what nick did because he wasn't using the ccrc to do his deed; this did. and quite frankly, given what brad and i have seen outside the cooler, warrants at least a talking to under the sexual harassment rules we instituted in the code of conduct.
the thing we have to worry about is whether we end up providing a space for people do something that is verboten outside these confines.
you are the one who's a) here all the time b) shows up all the time you're here
besides terry..that seems to not have a reason to be hiding...
as far as hiding, i've been hiding as long as i've been moderating.
little young..little dumb at times...but good kid
Same here. If someone wants me they can search me out. It's just too easy to click on a name on the sidebar for nothing PMs. I save most of mine so I don't want a bunch of crap in there. Plus I don't like people to know I'm on here this much. They might want to organize an intervention or something. :pbpt:
I know that he has some major head issues and often acts inappropriately. I believe that is all part of what his mental health issues are but he does respond in a positive manner when asked to stop.
It appears he apologized in his post following the deletion of the one post.
I would suggest that if this continues elsewhere, it needs to be dealt with elsewhere. If it spills over into this forum again, that is another matter and we would need to further discuss what role we would play in that.
Considering that she was told by more than one person to bluntly ask him to stop and she chose not to do so, makes me wonder why she is approaching others to take care of whatever is going on between the two of them.
At any rate, I agree with the post being removed under the circumstances.
I agree with Kitch. He is basically a good person. He is missing some behavorial boundaries. I believe those missing boundaries are part of his mental health issues but he does respond when asked point blank to stop.
first off...he got a text message from ICESIS not even 2 weeks old that said "I love you" (I saw this part)
He has never been told by icesis to back off!!!!!!
seems like we jumped the gun on this one...
Iceman thought it was a good photo because apparently her car has been in 4 accidents since she has gotten the car.
Makes sense to me...
I'm not going to start deleting every post that offends somebody just because a person doesn't like it...
heck if that is the case I'm going to be deleting half of redbears post and half of the cooler posts offend redbear.
2nd off...
I'm really upset with what Iceman told me
He told me that Brad's egram stated that he didnt' know "who" from the mods deleted the egram.
He also feels like he didn't get a good explanation as to why.
this was poorly handled IMHO and odds are iceman is going to disappear from the threads for a while...sad really...he is good kid.
unlike an email which embeds its tracability inside it, or website accesses which are tracked in a log somewhere, its way too easy to fake a text message. that said....
He has never been told by icesis to back off!!!!!!
yeah that's the impression i've gotten from my outside perspective as well, and imho is the root of the problem on her end if she doesn't want the attention.
Iceman thought it was a good photo because apparently her car has been in 4 accidents since she has gotten the car.
given what i know from the outside, i believe there's more to it than just that, but we're getting down ultimately to a he said she said matter.
I'm not going to start deleting every post that offends somebody just because a person doesn't like it... heck if that is the case I'm going to be deleting half of redbears post and half of the cooler posts offend redbear.
right there with you. if there's a damn good cause that's one thing to spontaneously delete a post. if we knew she'd told him to back off, and he didn't, that would be one thing, but that isn't the case here.
idea: how about creating another hosts only thread that we can move posts like that into rather than delete them. that way if we found something done in error we could go back and correct our mistake ex post facto.
great idea
along with a few others...
I told Iceman that I deleted his post. It was my first line in the PM. I then told him that Icesis requested that the post be deleted by another host. I didn't say who. I just said that because I seen us as friends that I wanted him to know that I did it and why. The why was because she was offended and asked for the post to be deleted.
Great idea on the repost thread.
that makes sense to me....
I just wanted to make sure you didn't have a vested interest in this.
