Other than Clue I really don't know anyone else but let me assure you I will put them in my good thoughts and prayers ((((HUGS)))) for everyone who needs one...and a special {{{{{{{{{hug}}}}}}}} for Clue...
So sorry to hear about your health Leelabell. You have a battle ahead but with your strength and positive attitude I have no doubt you can beat it. Adding you to our prayer list.
okay, he is all checked in and settled at St. Joes.
You shoulda seen one of the peramedics that moved him- priceless and brought a smile to the situation. He...or she.... stayed with Brad in the back of the transporter and he says he just couldn't figure it out totally. There was an adams apple but their were these boobs.
Very leathery tanned wrinkly face like Keith Richards- one of the family members thought he/she looked like one of the guys from Kiss with out make-up-
We think now that the diagnosis has been made the doctors and nurses have not been in to see him as much. hopefully he got some rest last night. The doctors figured out the type of bacteria which makes them think that the bacteria entered the blood stream sometime about 6 months ago when he went to the dentist and had some work done (ie: filling (s) and scraping/cleaning).
The doctors decided to postpone the surgery til Friday. They want to get a dentist in to look over his mouth, I think to be sure he doesn't have any abscess teeth or something.
He is looking so much better - and probably the best I've ever seen him look!
his blood presure was 99 over 51 yesterday. Weird considering he has had high blodd pressure for so long.
So as we stand, he will be undergoing an aortic heart valve replacement Friday 8-8-8.
praying that the surgery goes well - send budly my best and let him know we ( i especially) think the world of him....it was Budly afterall who got me into this crazy world of friends we call the cooler crew and the WC
Let us know when he is recovered enough and has had enough rest to allow a visitor or 2
Great story about the paramedic - I am sure there is more to the story Budly will tell - too bad he didnt have his camera with him on this ride  or did he?
I have some cool pics of some ultrasound pics and of Brad that I can post too - just have not had time to transfer them.
I also just wanted you all to know that Brad does get to read the Cooler. He says hi to everyone -including Froggy  and thanks you for all the thoughts.
Hey Me2 - is what kind of heart valve are they using nowadays?
A human valve? (A.K.A. Transplant)
A pig valve? (I dunno if that is still being used)
A plastic valve? (so his ticker will actually 'tick')
I think it's fantastic that they don't want to rush into the surgery so quickly - a good sign he's not a bad off as originally thought. Makes for an agonizing wait for the rest of us, though.
actually the doctors do want to rush. yesterday they said that he probably would have had a heart attack within the month. I'm not sure if I understood this correct but it sounded like the bacteria has left some kind of large deposit -called berries, on this valve and even a cough could push it loose which would cause the pieces to float around the heart and cause the heart attack. They want this done now.

I just want to let you all know that my beautiful sister Cherrie passed away this morning at 3:20am.
We were all lucky enough to be at Cherrie's yesterday to tell her goodbye. We all gave her our blessing to free herself of her body.
.
There was talk before Cherrie passed about when Greg's mother passed away and a story about a Cardinal.
It goes like this:
Greg's mother loved Cardinals. On the day that she passed away, a Cardinal stopped by the window and peered in for a while.
Well, I woke up this morning to the loud sounds of Cardinals outside my window. Dana and I got up and went outside to see if there were any around, and one flew right in front of me! I have not seen a Cardinal in my yard in a long time.
Also, a beautiful white squirrel was near the deck looking at us. Another rare sight!
Make of it what you will...
.
I will be posting another Journal entry sometime soon with more information for all of you.
Thanks me2 for letting me know that Clue can read in here...Can you or get someone else to give him a big HUG for me...I check in here two or three times a day now, for news..thank you..
Clue, my thoughts and prayers are with you. When you get a little better, let me know and I'll send you a few of my "better" jokes and "dirty" pictures.
Thank you all for the fantastic encouragement. It's needed pretty bad right now. My head is spinning pretty bad as well. I do feel somewhat optimistic though. Please continue to send your thoughts my way. I'll soak them up like a sponge. I truly love you guys like you would never believe.
Sorry about your loss Jeremy. I know you cared for her a great deal.
Brad - We're all thinking about you already...and praying as well for your full and speedy recovery. I wish there was a way to take this all from you. We'll have to leave that in the hands of the Great Spirit.
Brad, we all love you and support you. Prayers and positive thoughts and good vibrations are still coming your way and we'll keep them coming as long as they are needed.
I am looking forward to getting a big Clue Master hug next time I'm in town.
a little update. nothing much happened yesterday except that there were many visitors and big future decisions were presented. Last night he got his first shower in over a week. He was very weak and dizzy but made it through. This morning the 3rd floor began leaking water down to the lab so maintenance had to go through his bathroom and drill holes on the walls for a while. seems like that racket is done for now. The last time family can see him is 6 am tomorrow morning. The surgery is scheduled for 7:30,I think, and is supposed to last all morning in to the early afternoon. He will be kept in the ICU after that for a while. Family wont be able to see him for a few hours after that.
just wanted to put this up here now. I have not had time to add to the family site - only to the Cooler so far when I can. There is so much more going on but we have all been so busy trying to make sure Brad is getting good care that it's hard to get it all posted or typed in.
Mods: is there anyway we can set up a different thread for Cluemaster updates? It just occurred to me that I am continuously checking the "it's a sad day today :frown:" thread and I'm thinking the rest of the updates we get aren't going to be sad anymore. I know it's just semantics, but let's get the possitive waves going here!

kinda like tire pressure...if the tire has a hole...wouldn't the pressure be lower??
We will keep you in our prayers as well Leela......
