he got his appetite back.

he lost over 50 pounds though

good time to start eating better and working out slowly.

weirdly enough this was probably a good start to becoming more healthy.

I'm sorry for using the word 'little' :sheepish:

I haven't been around here much but I've read Clue Master's posts for some years now. He seems like a pretty decent sort. Wishing him all the very very best from up here in sunny Saskatchewan, Canada. Get well soon CM. Pulling for you.

CM went back to the woman doctor that we went to at Urgent Care a few weeks back when they thought he was being upgraded to pneumonia. 2 days before going into the ER. We really like her. She looked over everything and prescribed him percoset for his back pain. FUNNY, how he can't get that at the hospital!!! the Vicodin had stopped working (if it worked at all). The percoset helped last night. He was feeling very good for once! They got him set up with a back doctor. When she went over the paperwork last night she called Brad, realizing this was THAT GUY, from THAT NIGHT, when they stayed open later and THAT GUY who was shaking uncontrolably. She couldn't beleive everything he has been through and will help in anyway she can. He will be making her his primary after the month is over (I guess he has to stay with the doctor who 2ndly diagnosed the Luekemia during this month).

Today he begins his first out of hospital rehab. good luck honey.

I NEVER realized what people go through when they have open heart surgery. WOW! OOOOOWIE!

I can't imagine if he had to go through Chemo either if the diagnosis woulda been the other prognosis. A HUGE SORRY to everyone who has to go through either one of these. :frown:

Our Big Guy will be strong soon.

wooops 'rehab'? I meant physical therapy

but with how many drugs he has had over the last couple of months he may need it  :ooh:

Good God Mr. Z you want him to get better and you post a pic like that...!!!!

Here's my contribution for Clue...

The wedding date was set and the groom's three pals - a carpenter, an electrician and a dentist were deciding what pranks to play on the couple on their wedding night.

The carpenter figured sawing the slats of their bed would give them a chuckle or two.

The electrician decided to wire the bed - with alternating current, of course.

The dentist wouldn't commit himself, but wore a sly grin and promised it would be memorable.

The nuptials went as planned and a few days later, each of the grooms buddies received the following note:

"Dear Friends, we didn't mind the bed slats being sawed. The electric shock was only a minor setback. But I swear by God Almighty, I'm going to kill whoever put novocain in the condom!"

dentists are stupid.

unless they give you free stuff, anyways.... like candy, or teethbrushes.

Or novocaine condoms...

We used to get Dum-Dumms lollipops from our dentist as a kid. This was before they made sugar-free versions of Dum-Dumms. Constantly gave him grief for trying to get return business... and the kids that just got fillings weren't allowed to get one.

A kid with dental pain denied candy? Talk about a Grade AAA Hissyfit!

My guy's actually really good, considering I had to basically have an entire tooth replaced.

Difference between married life and single life: New tooth was about halfway back and wasn't visible.

Single life: Eh. Nobody can see it.

Married life: "My husband WILL have all of his teeth! I don't care how painful it is, I am NOT married to a slack-jawed yokel. You're going to the dentist, and that's final!"

Brads doing awesome!!

He woke up, took a shower, ate a HeMAN breakfast of eggs, 2 pounds of bacon, a dozen pancakes with pump u up steroids sprinkled on top, cleaned up the whole house (even the toilets and cat box!!!), powerwashed the deck, took the trash out, mowed the lawn, grocery shopped, pumped 200 pounds of iron, he just got back from a 10 miles run and is now planning on making dinner and going for an evening bike ride to Duluth. heh. ...reality: crawled out of bed, nurse came and took his blood, fed the kids and went to the doctor for that cool chest x-ray that they made him a copy for him to take home. went and got a haircut and now taking a nap. sweet dreams

Oh My God!! My chest is hurting so bad right now from crying so hard from reading all the positive posts from you wonderful people from both the Cooler Crew and the other great sites within AbleMinds. This on-line community definitely needs to get some exposure to the general public to show how much of a family we really are. For every negative news story that surfaces from time to time regarding people meeting on-line I'm sure there are tons of positive events that take place to counter them.

I'm in awe of how lucky I am to be a part of this close group of friends. I have this overwhelming feeling that I need to do something constructive with my life with each click of my heart I hear.

I'm still pretty beat up and can't do many of the things I could a few weeks ago but I'm optimistic anyway. I'm taking lots of meds including an IV antibiotic everyday now. I can't wait until I have this pic line removed in a few weeks and hopefully end up just taking my Coumadin on a daily basis. I anticipate the weightloss helping with my energy level as I go through physical therapy. I bleed easily, especially through my nose but that should get better in time as well.

Thanks again for all of your thoughtful support. It means more than you'll ever know.

Love you - Brad CM

Sorry to hear about all the health issues CM. You and Ally are in my thoughts and prayers.

Thankfully they correctly diagnosed you. I know what it feels like to walk around for weeks thinking I'm going to have MAJOR surgery after having minor surgery.

Overall I've had better luck with female doctors ... they know how to LISTEN.

All I can say is get well and ........

I'm not fully convinced Cluey's "Illness" is real. I've found some rather startling evidence he's been involved in other activities out of town. An international event that started on 8-8-08... think about it!

Face it, Cluey- the Jig is Up! I found out you're a competitive diver in the Olympics!

See for yourself! Watch the video!

Since you guys are all treasure hunters and clue dechiperers we figured that someone would finally figure it out! We couldn't decide whether to pull the open heart surgery bit or 'where in the world is cm?' bit. However, we didn't think it would take you guys so long though, I mean, come on, it's been 14 days now! good noodling. MadDog wins. :goofy:

well not much really to update. kinda why I havent.

cm's been staying low key and trying to adjust to not doing much.

He hurts, he is alot weaker than his normal self. This week alone he has to go to physical therapy 3 times and visit 2 doctors inbetween.

a nurse came out to see him yesterday.

He got out for a couple walks recently at a local park and went to see a movie -that 3D Center to the Earth? very nice to see him out.

Ali began soccor the other day so they have gone to 2 practice/games. The kids will be in school next week so things may settle down a bit during the day.

well going from not much going on to wammo...

busy day for the big guy yesterday. I can't remember how the morning started out but I remember he was having a bad pain day.

He did make it to the back doctor who said he couldn't do anything until he was off the antibiotics in a few weeks but that he was optimistic and thought his back was overall gonna be okay when they can begin helping him. After that he went with Ali and gramma to Kohls to get some of the school shopping done... I hear a wheel chair and walker and no automatic doors at Kohls were involved. :frown:

after that they drove to the Urgent Care to get another prescription (since the back doc wouldnt give him anything) and to get some papers signed AND his ankle had been swelling and painful again (last time was just before he went in to Woodwinds when this whole thing started). They were hoping for a diaretic or something for the swelling. Turns out the UC doc said go straight to the ER because there could be a blood clot or something else going on. So down to the ER they drove. There was a woman waiting there that basically got the crap beat out of her, her face was bruised pretty bad. After a couple of hours, a nebulizer treatment, an ultrasound of his ankle, a guy putting electodes on him for another test and having to smell an old womans mess in the curtain next to him... they gave him more percoset and said to elevate his feet. On the way home he gets a call from the infectious doc Kravitz, he didn't know Brad had even gone in to the ER. Kravitz says his blood tests (the ones the nurses take when they come to his house).... he may be having an alergic reaction to the antibiotics and that a nurse will be out tomorrow (today) to change that AND that he should take benedril for the night. poor baby. :frown: - very glad it wasn't worse.
