It's A Sad Day Today :-(

Good news update. Mom is out of the hospital and back home. She can't go back to work for 2 weeks. I'm sure she'll be having a few doctor visits and be put on a diet and some medications.

As for exercize, since I visit my parents every Monday evening, I'll be sure she gets out for a walk at least once a week.

Thanks again everyone for the thoughts and prayers. They are most appreciated, and definitely help!

Thanks Froggy. Things are pretty discouraging lately. Nothing seems to be working on my left leg and ankle. It's been hurting 24/7 for well over a week now!

Kitch - The only hot nurse I've seen during this whole time has been me2. All others pale in comparison. :sheepish:

Bwahhh!!!

omg

Iceman has seen my big deck. He was impressed

There's way too much wood in my deck to ever go limp. I do need to pressure wash it this summer though. :sheepish:

we need to rewash ours this summer too. we did it last summer but never got it sealed.

Posen

No matter what size deck you have, I wouldn't want it sealed!
Thu, 09/11/2008 - 6:57 AM Permalink
Mad_Dach5und

Sealing is good for a big deck - it prevents the wood from getting soft. As we've seen on the news, a big deck that collapses always ends in tragedy...

He was sadly deprived of his final wish, which was to be run over by a beer truck on the way to the liquor store to buy booze for a date

In lieu of flowers, he asks that you make a sizeable purchase at your favorite watering hole, get rip roaring drunk and tell the stories he no longer can.

I love this man

I'm amazed how many retired Vikings decided to live their post-sports lives around here, no matter where they grew up. I think that speaks volumes for our quality of life and quality of living in our area. God Speed, Wally...

I just got word this evening that my cousin, Andrew, committed suicide this afternoon. He was previously hospitalized for mental problems.. Schizophrenia (no idea on the spelling) I think.

I'm still in shock, as I believe he had been recovering well after being in the hospital for so long.

I'm sorry to hear about that. My sympathies to you & your family. Mental illness is hard to deal with. A lot can change about a person very quickly.
