due to you guyses Neil fetish I found this guy Neil Gaiman yesterday and thought he seemed interesting and I wanted to read more about him at a later date. Then I read todays paper and see his picture (he looks familiar) turns out the same guy as I read online last night...I didn't know he was involved with the new movie Coraline. I feel almost like it's a BM but I don't know if hearing about a same person in a 24 hr period counts too....OT? Eags?

I like more of an ecclectic mix of music.... cities 97. And I love the cross-country channel on XM satelite radio although I think the channel changed names.... it's got a mixture of rock, folk, alternative country, bluegrass, rockabilly, and bascially all of your singer/songwriters who don't fit in any of the genres of commercial radio.

I'm starting to love alternative country artists like Steve Earle, Todd Snider, Ryan Bingham. They sound nothing like today's top 40 pop country. They're a throwback to the old story tellers and folk singers of the 60's. Kind of like if you mixed Johnny Cash with Bob Dylan. Or if you mixed Tom Petty with Merle Haggard.

Hey my husband and I are going to see Flogging Molly at The Myth.

We were wondering what it's like in there. Is there any seating or tables? Or is it standing room only? Is the viewing area similar to First Ave or do you need to get there early to get a good spot?

There are some chairs/tables, but you wont see anything sitting down unless your lucky and get a bar seat somewhere (most of them are standing only). Pretty much standing room mostly. You can see pretty good from everywhere though. Not really worth going in early unless you like waiting in line. We go a liitle late (during 1st act) and walk right in usually.

but yeah.... its kinda comparable to 1st Ave...
