I'd really like to find out more about what this geocaching deal is all about! I was curious before, but didn't get into it. Looks like it could be a lot of fun!
Can I "tag-a-long" with one o' you pros on Sunday, so maybe I can understand?! Don't have a gps....yet.  But looks like they're not all that much $$ anymore....
There is a distance requirement between caches, although it's only 521 feet. I mentioned to Silent Bob that there are/were 7 caches in the park, and I could easily put 7 more.
Just glad I got all the old ones before the medallion craze was there. Any word on if you were planning on setting up any for the rehash Ian? I'm assuming the event never made it..
Yeah, I know there are certain requirements involving distance between caches and things like railroad tracks. Just figured that it would be big enough to get more than a few new ones in.
On Friday I'll put out some temps, which MAY eventually become permanent.
I submitted a CITO event which was never reviewed, for whatever reason. Today two Board Members asked me about submitting one. I figured it's too late. The monthly CITO page may be converted to Crosby though.
I would suggest you send *MOM* an egram requesting your buttons though. I only say that because most of the time th (*MOM* and Dad) are quite busy and don't stray to far into the other threads and it might be quite sometime before she/they read this.
Egram received! (and replied). I still have a pretty decent supply of this year's, and quite a few from 00,01,02 and 03 so if anyone's looking, give me a holller.
This is probably going to be my only post today....just finished up sloggin all the action I missed during the day :0). Our middle child has taken to getting up in the middle of the night (like 2:00 am) and staying up. The past 2 nights, either Dad or I have heard her wake up, and put a stop to her going downstairs to watch tv. The bad part about this is that she still does not sleep.....making my (our) night a living hell of whining that she's not tired, and WHY can't she go downstairs, even if it is only 1:00 am (or 2,3, or 4). I am crossing my fingers that tonight's the night I'm going to get my whole 5 hours! Heck if I hurry, I might even get 6!
I'd planned to slip her a benadryl....but I forgot!
I haven't seen the show, but I've heard the radio spots. Wonder if she would just move in and whip my kids into shape......leaving ME free to do what I want?
Hannah was awake again last night, but it wasn't quite as disruptive as the 2 previous nights....Thank goodness!
Where in heaven's name did you find THAT picture? What year is that from?? I'm guessing 2001 looking at Natalie - and my haircut looks similar to my DL photo, and I have to renew that this year.....
Shoot - I might have titled it Mom and Hannah. I wasn't sure if Natalie was around yet. That was taken at the RHB at Merriam. I knew you'd like that little surprise out of nowhere.
That makes some sense....I recognized the picture as being from Merriam, but kept thinking that was 2000 - which I couldn't make sense of in my head, because Natalie would have been only a couple months old! Pretty weird to think about bringing her to school readiness now, and kindergarten in the fall!
Funny to see myself with short hair again - I went and cut it short again last night :).
Crush crackers and add butter or margerine for graham cracker crust. I don't know exactly how much butter I just approximate maybe 1/4 cup???
1 pint heavy whipping cream
1 - 8oz package of cream cheese
1 - can of pie topping of your choice...today we had Raspberry
1/8 cup of sugar
Blend on high speed the heavy whipping cream and sugar until it just starts to get firm (not firm firm but starting to get thick, if it gets to firm it will be impossible to spread after adding cream cheese)...then add cream cheese and blend until smooth. I find it easiest to cut Cream cheese into small chunks rather than drop it in whole.
In a 9X13 pan put mixture over top of crust. I find it easiest to drop in large globs all over the pan and flatten rather than try to spread. It tends to want to pick up the graham cracker crust if you spread to much.
This is the original recipe given to me by Mikes grandma I've tweeked it a little bit I actually prefer slightly more filling so I normally multiply the Heavy Whipping Cream and the Cream Cheese by 1.5. What I brought today had the extra filling.
Funny how I didn't get any either but still had a craving for some until I came into work today and one of my employees gave me a huge piece. Yummm Craving gone.
I will have to try and take some pics - don't know how soon. Tonight was spent running around with school stuff. More school stuff on Thursday. We are in the midst of choosing a HIGH SCHOOL for Emily. She is mainly interested in Central and Como, but will do a shadow day at Highland too.
Sarah is a Jr this year. She is involved with helping new students acclimate to the school.
Sarah says she wouldn't go to any other school than Central in the city of St Paul. She says the photography teacher thinks she is part chicken and will talk chicken if you ask her to. so stay away from photography. I always liked the college course opportunities (seems to me that the colleges work more with the Central students than other inner city schools)... I would have learned more in the music and videography studios.
She says don't go to Como.
I went to Como and I would have had more future opportunities at Central. I definately would have taken a different path with my life and been in the music field instead I got typing and a 5 inch floppy education. The opportunities and things we didn't have then our children have now. Como was good for computer skills back then now I feel it just offers the basics to graduate for girls but more for boys, ie: mechanics, rehab house building.
Highland, don't know much about it cept that they have a great volleyball team...funny, Sarah says the girls on the volleyball team are snobby. I think they have good Spanish and/or foreign language arts.
nice job!!!
Glad I got my GPS..... lots to find
Okay.....seriously...

I'll have my GPS out at the rehash, anyone interested in seein how caching works can give it a shot.
Ian, are you planning on placing any caches at Crosby? I know you mentioned you found a few places...

Just a few places?

I'll be returning "The Lion Sleeps Tonight"
I submitted "Honorary Mayor of Coolerville"

think I have all of the cooler crew ones except 98 and 99 now, and from what I gather, those are gonna be near impossible to find.
I got lucky and ended up with one 99. But thats as low as they go for me.
Going to be even more impossible now that they are going into the Winter Carnival museum.

I think it was mainly asking before the PDG. Someone had one and I traded some stuff for it.
Right place right time really.
My boys will have to fight for it later in life :-)

I love that show. Definately something to take nots from .
Ug, our two were up a total of three times last night. There's definately something going around.

I was not thinking I would like breaking "tradition" at McGovern's (although I never liked that place). I had a great time!
It was good to see you too! One of these years, I'm gonna get me one of them high-tech gps thingys and find the time to do that geocaching stuff.
I have a few bucks for you from a few donations
