That works. Did you try 'Kustom' with a 'K'? I suppose that would mess up people looking for a phone number and spelling it wrong...

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll have to try it out sometime.

Another good place for Asian cuisine is Bambu. The staff there are very friendly as well.

We have a Sushi/Hibachi Restaurant in Woodbury called Akita off Tamarack Road & Bielenberg. We haven't been in there yet and I don't know if we ever will. First, the wife does NOT eat seafood, period. Second, every review of the place says the same thing - the food is good and cheap, the service is terrible.

There's a small restaurant in the same strip mall a few doors down - adjacent to a Wine Shop, called Cravings Wine Bar and Grille. We went there for dinner last weekend, and I have to admit the food was fantastic. Their prices for meals are not too bad - the glasses of wine can get pricey - but it was EXCELLENT stuff.

Do you know why E's Cheese went out of business? It was in that same mall. They had another shop in Mendota Heights, but I think it's closed now too. At least their website is gone. I always thought they were doing a good business. I'm sad.

I thought E's Cheese was just part of the wine shop next door until we went down there last weekend. You'd think wedged in between the Wine Bar & Grille and the Wine Store it had a good location. I have a feeling a the rent for that mall is top dollar, and a lot of places really gamble the first few months they are there.

That Sheraton hotel nearby - it opened just in time for the RNC Convention, and aside from an occasional weekend wedding it looks empty most of the time. I don't see that big place lasting a long time either.

The E's Cheese in Mendota Heights was next to the same wine store. There was some connection. I thought both locations should have worked for them. There are a lot of empty spaces in that mall. I don't think a lot of people even know there are shops in there.

My son worked for the plumbing contractor at that Sheraton. They built it and timed the end of construction mainly for the convention. They got burned on that because apparently the convention committee only looked at hotels in Ramsey and Hennepin Counties. They even had conventioneers staying as far away as Maple Grove, when Woodbury is just down the road.

CNN had their huge obnoxious News RV parked at that Sheraton during the RNC, and the parking lot was pretty full, so apparently SOMEONE found out about its availability. They probably didn't get the price gouging rates that the downtown places did, though.

They have a huge wedding tent that they've set up a couple times in the 'backyard' facing the freeway, but other than that it's shown few signs of life SINCE the RNC. They are STILL building crap down there right now - a couple restaurants are going up. Boy, Woodbury really needs yet ANOTHER restaurant! :barf:

If anyone wants to see what over-building means, just drive along 5th street in Oakdale behind Best Buy and Buffalo Wild Wings - just North of G.A. Church there are a bunch of single-story commercial office buildings completely vacant. I mean a LOT of vacancies!

What I meant to say was they didn't get any of the state delegates at the hotel. But CNN sounds like a good catch. They probably were reserving hotels for delegates while it was still under construction, but as far as I know, the delegates were all housed in Ramsey and Hennepin.

When looking for reception sites for my daughter's upcoming wedding, we looked at that Sheraton. Their largest room only seats 100 for dinner so we passed. It's a nice looking hotel inside. I hope they do well.

This is nothing new. The Unions start from their end - basically NOTHING gets cut - No Wages, No Jobs, No Hours, No Benefits. With Pawlenty throwing down the gauntlet early with a 48 day furlough, he's established his end of the absurdity. The two hash it out until it gets settled.

State employees SHOULD need to take furloughs to cut costs. (I'm married to one.) But 48 days is ridiculous. This is basically one unpaid day off per pay period for two years. We all know cutting hours helps cut costs - the State should no be any different. The union's biggest fear is the idea of setting a precedent - that whatever gets established this time around will carry over to the next negotiation, even if times improve.

I wonder how much cash would be saved by cutting stipends to elected officials and furloughs to the executive branch instead. Funny, no one at the Governor's office seems to think Pawlenty or Congress needs a pay cut...

Cutting small agencies out of the budget would save plenty. There are so many state agencies that were established by the legislature that don't have the proper controls to ensure things actually get done. I worked for one and nothing had been accomplished there since it first began 20 years ago.

There are plenty others that waste more money on food for meetings and get nothing much accomplished. It's a waste of everyone's tax dollars.

Interesting that MAPE and AFSCME are the two unions up for furloughs - the ones that represent those making the least. The professional unions represent those making the most aren't mentioned.

Google

Gmail AutopilotTM by CADIE

The easiest email could possibly be.

As more and more everyday communication takes place over email, lots of people have complained about how hard it is to read and respond to every message. This is because they actually read and respond to all their messages.

How does Gmail mirror my communication style?

The more Gmail messages Autopilot can sample, the better. With fewer than 100 messages, there may not be enough data to calibrate Autopilot effectively. You can adjust tone, typo propensity, and preferred punctuation from the Autopilot tab under Settings.

You may want to log in every week or so to ensure Autopilot is calibrated optimally.

Does Autopilot work for Gmail chat too?

Yes. Chat was actually simpler to build, given the natural language headway made by Joseph Weizenbaum's ELIZA. While many claim ELIZA oft times passed the Turing test, Gmail Autopilot passes with 99.9% accuracy due to the inclusion of human-like qualities such as compassion and wisdom and CADIE's related ability to calibrate to match your chat style.

What happens if a sender and recipient both have Autopilot on?

Two Gmail accounts can happily converse with each other for up to three messages each. Beyond that, our experiments have shown a significant decline in the quality ranking of Autopilot's responses and further messages may commit you to dinner parties or baby namings in which you have no interest.
