David, they haven't done that in a long time,I think because of liability issues and neighbors, lawsuits etc.....too much risk nowadays.....I could be wrong have been before.....but I really don't think so!
Clue #3-"to the treasure that lies out of view".This after "circular thinking is ONE way of thinking.Maybe there's a circle and a square, and the treasure's out of view from the circle, but not the square.
For some reason, the treasure isn't in plain sight.
T. I went to Palace yesterday......some things fit too many that didn't........especially bothered me that Landmark brewery can be seen clearly from there but not 1st Bank sign...
Jake and I checked out a park last night that I like a lot. At the time we were there it seemed iffy, but after we got back, the fact that I couldn't see the circular items actually convinced me more since the clue does imply the treasure is out of view when near the circles.
By the way Jake, if you read this, I feel really stupid. I thought that was my paper you were holding when you got out of the car. I didn't mean to steal it from you!
AW - Like your site and thoughts. Thanks for the reply. I think I'll put a shovel in at the 1st one just to say I did in case it turns out right. Did you see the volleyball poles? See ya at the Goves later
Quick Question: Does anyone know of Rec Centers on the Eastern part of St. Paul (besides Conway). I know Hillcrest, and Groveland have been brought up, and these are plausible Western sites. But I am trying to nail down the Eastern ones now.
Yes, I did see those volleyball poles. They were even on the map in the guide. I was thinking of looking around there too. I don't think its on the playground, because I'm sure that if it was, the kids would have found it by now, knowing how kids are.
El Rio Vista recreation Center 179 East Robie, St. Paul
Softball/Baseball
Ice Rink
Basketball
Tennis - 2 courts
Play Equipment
Football/Soccer
Clue 1 = Loacted in St. Paul. I believe you can see downtown from the rec center.
Clue 2 = General clue, no great meaning
Clue 3 = Circular thinking: Rink, balls, etc. Possible reference to what it is hidden in.
Clue 4 = East and West: On east street but next to West St. Paul. Depressed: Depression era, President Roosevelt, Roosevelt Elem. is next to rec center.
I'm wondering that myself. It seems to fit all the clues perfectly, but its hard to imagine being able to dig there freely. Maybe that's why we need to be bold?
Oh that! hehe, I forgot who even asked, but yes it was in response to that. If I had my Guide book here, I probably could have even told you which side each was on. But alas, I left it at home, not being entirely awake this morning.
In the same boat. Late on the horse this year, and just unearthed my copy last night. Up late looking, and not with it when I flew out the door this morning. Tonight is the last scouting night for me, starting to dig tomorrow. LOL
Kid,your mom just called an said get back to studying!!!LOLOLOL!:)
Hey MF, does that make my chances of finding it 0?
SueButt,
yes
Fats
I'm still going on my hunch that it's not actually in but could be near a park. One time they hid it by the side of a highway.
We all have the same chance,Sue! We will all know the right place in a clue or two!
kid minneapolis talk to Fats, they can help you with the stats! LOL
Scribe, my thinking is that circular is refering to a newspaper or a newspaper place (private ground) etc... to far fetched
Is anybody still thinking Palace. Why/not?
David, they haven't done that in a long time,I think because of liability issues and neighbors, lawsuits etc.....too much risk nowadays.....I could be wrong have been before.....but I really don't think so!
Good job Fats
Strike, the parking lot is not big at Oscar Johnson Arena, and there is also cars that park there every day. It is NOT there. I guarantee you that.
Hey Cluemaster! Nice jacket last night! I got to see you but not talk to you!
Strike, the parking lot is not big at Oscar Johnson Arena, and there is also cars that park there every day. It is NOT there. I guarantee you that.
oh well...i thought it might work?
Hey All..have to go know...talk to ya later!
Happy domestic duties Sue!!
has anybody been out to dig lately?

My top 3 bury list still has a MN Wild hockey puck on it due to the treasure that lies out of view and the circular thinking (round puck)
I gotta go! Talk at you all later!
Scribe - Thanks - you @ conservatory later today?
Nah Clue! I have some things in real life to get done so we have time to hunt later this week! I'll see you soon I'm sure!:)
But this IS real life!! :) - See ya later

OK, I've crunched the numbers, and I can say with 93% certainty that the medallion is in McQuillan Park. Stats don't lie.
(This calculation has a 99.73% margin of error)
why do you think it's there? They never specified if it was in a park....
AW - Like your site and thoughts. Thanks for the reply. I think I'll put a shovel in at the 1st one just to say I did in case it turns out right. Did you see the volleyball poles? See ya at the Goves later
Hey Diggers -
Quick Question: Does anyone know of Rec Centers on the Eastern part of St. Paul (besides Conway). I know Hillcrest, and Groveland have been brought up, and these are plausible Western sites. But I am trying to nail down the Eastern ones now.
Prosperity has a Rec Center.
Yes, I did see those volleyball poles. They were even on the map in the guide. I was thinking of looking around there too. I don't think its on the playground, because I'm sure that if it was, the kids would have found it by now, knowing how kids are.
Hazel park is a rec center on the east side
Here is my dark horse pick:

AW - Does it seem like a dig is plausable or will I get kicked out by some substitute teacher?
THX Kid and MNCheetah
Rec Centers:
AW - I feel that the next clue will have a 'cool C' to do with it for some reason. - Good job on the rec list. WOW! Fast!
I'm wondering that myself. It seems to fit all the clues perfectly, but its hard to imagine being able to dig there freely. Maybe that's why we need to be bold?
MF
Great dark horse. Comming from the west side, I always try to plug El Rio as the site, this year it kind of works.
AW - BIG THX
For what Snowball? Something on my site?
AW -
I had asked for Rec Centers (#13518), I thought this was in response. Either way, Thanks.
AW- Have you looked at any small rec center/parks?
Oh that! hehe, I forgot who even asked, but yes it was in response to that. If I had my Guide book here, I probably could have even told you which side each was on. But alas, I left it at home, not being entirely awake this morning.
Indeed I have Leah, almost exclusively at this point.
I know you never tell where"yet" but could at least tell me if any around Midway area, Summit area, of west end area?
AW -

Everyone's still all over the place. I'm gonna rule out the small parks this year.
Here is a question for you - How many think the hunt will be done by next Wednesday, the 31st?
As some of you know, I teach community college and someone needs a sub that day. I am not sure if I should pick it up or not.
Allison, I just posted something curious on your site regarding your top pick. Let me know what you think.
I am off to scout soon. See you all later.
Big step Steve, but if anyone can make the decision, i guess it is you.
