Oakdale's hunt didn't update their clue today. Looks like someone tried to upload the same file/filename. The hotline has the clue though. Mentions Education and reaping what you sow.. Possibly thinking oakdale park near the old shoolhouse? I think they had some new planting areas over there.
Oakdale's medallion was found in Oakdale Nature Preserve (north end of oakdale park). I guessed the right park, but the clues were way too easy. I'm waiting to see if they post the answers online, however this year they had issues the entire hunt just posting the clues online....
Oh I get it. That video was for the first car. Can't wait to try it on the 16th. We could figure this out way fast I'm guessing!
I plan on being up early on Friday anyway. Plus I'll have a partner in another Midwest state just in case it's not around here. This is where that 565hp might come in handy.
I know the Black Hills area pretty well - good scenery - but an abandoned vehicle would stand out there like a forest fire. Makes you wonder if they move it into a garage at night or something so people don't call the cops asking questions.
Midwest Journey goes live tomorrow, 9/17. I'll be keeping an eye on it. I'm assuming they choose weekends to do it to give the 9-5ers a chance to find it?
Just because of that one shot in the commercial? At least J is in Missouri. Maybe she and sis can go find the thing and make us proud. I plan on waiting for the 300mile clue at midnight tonight. It might even be 11 since part of their Midwest area is in the Eastern time zone.
OK guys so here's how Amy's Mind works....She says to me just now but mommy how are they suppose to drive home if they find it and they have two cars now.
HaHa I'm having fun with this all by myself. Coffee time I think until the next clue comes out. At least J is just about at the 200 mile radius line of this first clue anyway.
HaHa! Ali always asked that when watching The Price is Right show. Smart kids.
I like how Dodge says they'll even pay up to $7k in taxes for you to have the thing at no cost to you. Just pick it up from a local dealer. $44k prize!
Summer at last! Summer at last!
Shout to the north and shout to the south
Summerfest is here – it’s summer at last!
Sleuths of all levels, itÂ’s that time of year.
The Summerfest medallion beckons you here.
Some clues will make you zag,
While other make you zig.
Remember the Golden Rule:
You wonÂ’t need to climb, swim, or dig
Medallion Hunt Clues Clue #1:
Looking for an event that pays during Manitou Days?
Well, five Ben Franklins should bring you pleasure.
The lake may be low – but our civic pride overflows:
So, grab a friend and come search for hidden treasure!
Tap the force to chart your course
Let intelligence and lunacy meet.
Embrace your inner titan as youÂ’re fightinÂ’
Claim your place among the hunting elite.
Clue #2:
In May of Â’58 residents held an historic debate
There, on the cool shores of Goose Lake.
A municipality born, but no one could forewarn.
The cartographical form that it would later take.
With a little zeal, a few clicks can reveal.
Information thatÂ’ll make your heart quake.
Mind this order: study the meandering border.
Explore the original town of White Bear Lake.
Clue #3:
From a birdÂ’s eye view, let all creativity imbue
Imagine three ponds of water connected as one.
The horse looks southwestÂ…see what we suggest?
Now off to that neighborhood you run!
Now, among the frogs slant weathered logs
Just more unanswered calls along the track.
Still wanting more? Seek out padlocks galore
Affixed to structures just right for the pack.
Clue #4:
A foreboding creature, a doctorÂ’s feature
Speaking for those without voices.
Out of this he did pop, once it had lost its top
Scolding the green hands for his choices.
Assemble your legion along a border region;
Of boundaries make careful inspection.
Out of the pen run the goose and wren
With a farm serving as their connection.
Clue #5:
WeÂ’ve chosen a beautiful spot surrounded by many a lot
Busy families scurry to and fro.
Hear a Labrador bark, see a meadowlark
A true conservational victory! But, read below:
We had to inquire, but waste was once burned by fire
And what remains lay safely sealed beneath your toes.
View objects of ventilation, some even with rotation
Turning and turning until all does finally decompose.
Think I'll call in and complain  lol
If I get any good leads, I'll post them.
Before you start your search today there are some things to know
The rules include some places where you do not need to go
From golf course, Arboretum and the Oval, stay away
And at the nature center the medallion will not lay
Clue Two
If you were searching last year then you would already know
That Willow PondÂ’s the resting place we chose for hiding, so
The challenge for you this year you can meet so easily:
To find a Roseville park whose name does not contain a tree
Clue one basically says it will not be at these places:
- Cedarholm golf course
- Roseville skating center (OVAL)
- Harriet Alexander Nature Center
- Muriel Sahlin Arboretum
Clue two basically says it's not in Roseville parks that have "tree" names:
- Autumn Grove
- Cottontail Park
- Mapleview Park
- Acorn Park
- Evergreen Park
- Reservoir Woods
- Applewood Park
Another year has come and gone,
Lumberjack Days has now come along,
The treasure is once again smartly hid,
If you find it you'll feel like a kid.
You need to look on public land,
But keep your feet out of the sand.
