Have a blast take some pictures and share them. Hope to see you all in the park(rehash is?)
Gabe's is inviting you and as many past medallion finders as they can muster to the bar/restaurant beginning at 4 pm Friday (Feb 3) for a hunt celebration. Bring a camera and an appetite -- free food will be provided.
Spread the word, please.

1400 Joe!
On that note, I see that we missed the record high of 46 on Tuesday by one degree. And some question me when I remind them of the big warm up during the '95 hunt at BC that holds the record for that day. I also remember a nice day when it was at the capital but it got real cold in a hurry that very same day by the time the next clue came out. The CP hunt during the ice palace melt was probably the nicest hunt weather I can remember until this past clue 10 for about an hour during the afternoon. Many of us happened to leave the south part of the park at that time and by the time we drove to the north park it was cold and cloudy. Glad we brought our jackets even though we didn't need them when we were by the lake. It was very odd.
The gate is now closed on the Pavilion side. An Arden Hills truck was in that area today.
Someone in the parks department drew the short straw and had to go do cleanup in the park.
They could then also make sure there is trash cans so we can discard the waste properly.
I'm in back to back meetings tomorrow or I would do it.
That's breaking the treasure hunt code of conduct!
epic FAIL!
Cluey is bringing some Vikings items for the prizes too.
I work til 4:30 and don't want to miss out - gonna try to get out of here at 4 pm.
still will miss the introduction to the party though at 4.
I replied via text to 2005 finder Hayward about tonight at Gabes and Sunday.
I can't believe the park system can't send someone out to flip a switch.
2nd pick would be BrassCats idea.
3rd pick would be to follow the Cooler Masses
I preferred a shelter due to the close proximity for kids to play on the playground.
camping stove if we do the outside picnic. My guess is the power is shut
off when they close the pavilions, turn off water, etc., for the season.
So TSP at 11:30 with no open gate unless they just do it without responding, question whether there is electricity for crock pots, but a good time will be had anyway.
To avoid this next year, perhaps we should reserve the Newell building at the beginning of January and let them know we'll cancel whichever weekend we don't need it. They will get their 7 days and this will be a non-issue next year.
Terry - I am sorry as I am getting to this e-mail for the first time and now it is Friday evening and this was not brought to my attention a I was at another work location all day today.
Actually, I would have been hesitant to open the gate as we had an incident this past fall when one of our users did not secure the gate closed and then opened up to damage a car as exiting. So more then likely would not have allowed to open this area. We closed in this section for the winter (what winter), but you are welcome to walk across the street and use the shelter. In the winter we have limited trash cans in the area and with little notice, we will have to ask that you pack out your garbage, if cans are at the shelter, you are welcome to use them and I will have our crews check on Monday. Again, I would have been happy to work with you, but late in this notice and sorry for my delay in getting this e-mail.
Sounds fun!
NOTE: I didn't ask for anything but the gate to be open.
I vote for by the lakeside parking lot so we don't have to pack the
gear up and down the hill.
I'll bring the grill and two burner camp stove with propane and
utensils to grill our burgers and brats.
So....

Lake Johanna - lakeside pavilion
11:30 am
The lakeside pavilion will make it easier for those bringing grills, stoves and generators.
There is no electricity onsite.
We have been asked to carry out any trash if there are no trash cans available.
I remove myself because of aforementioned loud music syndrome
