So.... you're PDG too?
Will it be straight off Joseph's banquet menu?
I'll be in North St. Paul tomorrow morning, and will be in Maplewood on Sunday 2/19. Could swing by and meet up with you someplace if that would work for you. Tomorrow it would probably be just after 10AM when I head back from NSP. On the 19th, probably around 1PM when I head home from Maplewood.
Just let me know if that would work. I have the plate in my car, so really anytime we can hook up would be fine.
Maybe you'll come join us at Carbone's when we do that???
Thanks AW and everyone else who pulled this plan together. We've been talking about trying Joseph's for a PDG for quite some time, and this is a great opportunity to do just that.
Would 7PM work?
If we don't care about beer or wine, any Carbone's would be fine.
But I notice that Carbone's in WSP and IGH only have soft drinks listed on their menus.
Eagan Carbone's has the following alcohol beverage menu:
Bottled Beer $3.15
Mikes Hard Lemonade $3.45
Summit Extra Pale $3.45
Leinenkugels Honey Weiss $3.45
Bartles & Jaymes Wine Coolers $3.45
White Zinfandel 1/2 Carafe $6.25 Glass $2.85
Lumbrusco 1/2 Carafe $6.25 Glass $2.85
Individual Bottles $3.75
I baby sat the grandboy last night, and he is not a good sleeper, so I am going to grab a nap, but will check back here around 6PM and be ready to head out to whichever Carbone's we decide.
I think we could all use a little cheering up today, eh?
Carbone's on Randolph is still in business, although apparently not part of the Carbone's franchises.

Only soft drinks there, too.
But I know we have talked about going to Carbone's on Randolph sometime.
The alcohol doesn't matter to me, one way or the other, but I thought it would be best to let people weigh in on that.
They now have a full liquor license.
They still do not do pitchers.
They can accomodate us at 7PM on the southern side of the building, but they have a large party in the northern side at 6:30 tonight.
Just thinking about pizza has energized me!
I'm going to make an executive decision.
Carbone's on Wentworth in West St. Paul.
This evening (Saturday, February 11) at 7 PM.
Please post or send me a PM if you are planning to be there, so I can let Jerry Carbone know how to plan.
I think a lot of people liked the idea of reviving STB Live.
Getting together once a month or so, in the parks when it gets nicer out, but just staying in touch throughout the year is so nice.
I'm heading to Carbone's anyway.
Would love some company if anyone shows at 7PM.
If no one shows by the time my food is ready, I guess I'll have mine to go. :sheepish:
can you call me - sent you a pm
I can't go -I made a date with Whitney.
Can you call me? Post here?

If you want food after 8pm, the same thing applies. You can either sit in the dining room and eat (which may not be a bad option at that point as the dining room empties and the party room gets full) or you can order your food from the dining room and bring into the party room. If that strikes anyone as a problem, I could ask to extend the pasta bar until 9pm but offhand I thought 6-8 would work for those who truly wanted dinner.
We will have our own private bar in the room. My experience is that it's pretty fully stocked so there shouldn't be any need to walk over to the other bar to order anything though you're certainly free to do so.
Joseph's tends to empty out for the most part around 9pm so after that we'll likely have the place more or less to ourselves. The party room seats around 80 people, but we may pull out a few tables after dinner to allow more room for milling around. Overflowing into the dining room for people that want a little quiet isn't a problem. We can also set up music in the party room. There isn't a dance floor, just carpeting, but I have had DJ's in there before.
There is a minimum for having the party room, but no one needs to worry about it. I'm quite confident we'll meet the minimum in drinks alone. If by some miracle of the recession, the entire Cooler Crew can't manage to spend $500 in food and drink, well I'll take that bet and deal with the difference.
I also recall some very devisive/nasty posting on the Ma Planet boards. That of course was political....wonder how those posters would have handled the current situation?
