OT - this is an article in the St. Paul paper about both the Harriet Island and Wilder Charities (now Foundation) public baths. The river may have been used on hot days, but there were buildings for people to bathe in.
Edit: It would be helpful if I provided the link. Duh!
Okay, for the sake of argument, here's my thoughts on Harriet
Clue 1 - It's on the county line
Clue 2 - I'm stumped here
Clue 3 - this basically fits any park, could summer forbids refer to being able to see St. Paul and the carnival activities
Clue 4 - Ups and downs lots of hills in the area, also think this clue refers to the river water level - could point to several parks, like the fact that yellow mashed rice refers to being able to see crashed ice as well as Kellogg Blvd being visible just across the river if this is tied to Rice Krispie Bars
Clue 5 - can't remember who said it, but love the idea that gobbles up man's frills refers to The Taste that used to take place on HI, I also like the fact that there was once a zoo on HI, but it's now gone - probs cuz all the animals died in a flood
Clue 6 - schooled in time - Harriet Bishop, but also reading on Plato, he founded one of the earliest schools in western civilization, wheel of fortune ties to the paddle wheel boats
Again, whats up with the numbers this year. Are we getting the run around and we are getting some sort of address/coordinate location? I doubt it but still...
