For those of us stuck home safe and warm, any thoughts on the clue other than the glaring anagram? The creatures, they live in a den? A wood? Hark Ye lovers mean anything? Everyone ran with Cherokee....
Sorry but I disagree. Tonight's clue had a diff meaning for my dad and I'm sticking with him. Call me crazy! It just fits perfectly w/ "our" park. I'll, also, say we found the wheel of fortune there, too, among many other things.
and to me that is exactly what this hunt has lacked... I hope you're right...I want it found by the cleverest, not the luckiest. I myself have an area about 20 yards by sixty yards I keep digging like a maniac..
I wish I could share my thoughts w/you, Nimrod. I've doubted myself so many times over the yrs. The worst being BC. It's just so hard to believe when you're only one of a handful in a park. That's why I dragged my dad out today. I wanted him to tell me I wasn't nuts. Lol. I so wanted to prove everyone wrong that has doubted how close I've come over the yrs. they find it hard to believe I know so much about St. Paul being that I'm from WI. The CC has really taught me a lot. I was looking forward to throwing a huge party :frown:
Plenty of cars stopped by Cherokee tonight, but surprisingly few actual dggers getting their shovels dirty. Now at 2 am it's almost empty - we got a little fire to stay warm, and a big huge quiet park to dig in. Lots of unmolested space out here for anyone hunting tomorrow. Have fun, drive careful, and good luck!
I'm missing stuff and think its Bruce vento (which I keep referring to as Bento). If anyone is out, it is ICY, the climb up commercial was bad in a modern AWD.
I did notice the stand of 6 markers ( a wheel?) with steel frames had animal cutouts, one had squirrel, chipmunk and rabbit.
Goodnight. Stuck inside till tomorrow night, good hunting.
Spent about 4 hours out there last night. The only other thing I'm getting from the clue, besides the anagram, is "judge" being a potential reference to Alan Page and Page St. I was surprised there weren't more diggers out--especially after the anagram. Guessing that chipping that ice out at Harriet wore people out!
The treacherous roads were probably the biggest deterrent. What good is $10K if it barely covers your repair bill from an icy fender-bender? I skated home to Woodbury a bit later and even I=94 was a skating rink in places.
Yeah. The roads were bad. I started at 7, so was out there before it turned south. Sunday I did a 540 degree full speed spin on 94, though. Stopped just short of the concrete wall. Everyone and the van were fine, but got the heart pumping.
So excited! Heading out on my lunch break to hit up the park. You know you have the fever when you go in your dress clothes and skip food cause you know that puck is out there!
If you see a woman in a long wool maroon dress coat and black boots, I am NOT a spotter
What's kind of curious is that the anagram uses the first word of just the first three lines. What if the 1st word of the last sentence "Find" is also part of the hidden phrase? Maybe you're not supposed to be in Cherokee Park. Maybe you're just supposed to be able to see it? Kind of crazy I know, but I don't like how these clues led us to Cherokee nor how they seem to fail to lead us anywhere particular in Cherokee. Though it seems unlikely, I would not be surprised to see another park switch tonight.
If it isn't at Cherokee with that given in clue 10, I'd be mighty tempted to give up on this hunt.
I know for me I had these clues fitting other parks - especially Harriet and had to go back to the KISS method yesterday to make all of them make some sense. As in everything hunt related, its how one interprets the clues and what makes sense for each one of us. I beleive I have enough of the clues connected to Cherokee that I was fairly confident in it prior to last night's clue.
Now with the park given in clue 10, it needs to be there.
If this was clue 4, I would think maybe it's somewhere else, but clue 10 is too late for another switch.
At this point, nothing would surprise me. I kind of hope inasuitcase is in the right park and finds it. That would take "outside the box" to a new level and be nothing short of awesome!
I've, also, seen "suspicious" behavior before but this was something else in regards to what we saw and heard.
Anyway, hopefully, one of the three guys will be honest about turning it in tomorrow.
I'm off to bed.

The grasses only look like they were dug. i walked them and moved on.

Outside the box
Ps I love you too Cluey
And I do know that spending time at other parks has got some folks just tuckered out and a bit deflated that there was another move to another park.

I think it would be awesome for anyone we know to find it.
If somehow this isn't in Cherokee after last night's clue, when would we trust what we believe the rest of the clues mean in years to come?
