I have a question... in past hunts that made it to clue 12, we had a plan for picking up the paper and relaying the clue. Is everyone just on their own this year? Are people counting on using their smart phones from the park since the paper hasn't been released that much ahead of the online clue?
Well, I'm not quite gone yet. The snow from the top of my car slipped down and covered my windshield with about three inches of what is now ice. So I have the defrost on and will leave shortly.
My bet is someone finds it before noon. Now that the sun is up and people are coming back to the park. It's not that large a logical area. Though it looks like people are in the woods. Is IT in the woods? Did we have a "woods" clue? That be a shift.
Unlike the Ramsey County Sheriffs Dept--- Saint Paul's finest is taking the opportunity to ticket as many people as possible. We saw someone getting a ticket for parking in the handicapped spot. (ouch) They were also ticketing for minor stuff like too close corner, fire hydrants, etc. There are sections of the road where there are no parking signs on one side of the street- so keep an eye out for the signs.
FYI you might get easier access to the park via 35E to hwy 13(lillydale exit), brings you right to Annapolis.
I guessed right on the before noon part. I got something right for once this hunt! Actually I had the area pegged last night (bluff side by the pine trees vs across the street in the ravine). I'm curious exactly where it was.
Good luck everyone!

Just go to Cherokee... nuff said.

Getting ready to head out...
noodling clue five again
gobble up//...eaton, ate, eight , 8......
what are we missing?
Now we can get the PP's explanation of these clues.
I will be waiting to see the clue explanations.
That's why I like the south end so much.
Tree growing into a fence is clever.
They just left park 15 min ago, so hotline wasn't updated.
Found bluff side by tree with fence growing thru it.
Stuck to ground in dirt and ice.
Not east of anything.
North of the sign.
"You are here sign on far left. Medallion near brown coat guy on far right."

Clue 12 (Location within Park)
We've reprised a location; it's Cherokee Park.
Near a fence that's embedded deep in tree bark.
From the Bruce Vento Trail, near Annapolis Street,
Between sidewalk and woods is the path you must beat.
Nested under the snow the treasure is found --
From the fence search 10 feet on the ground all around.
With treasure in hand and button in tow,
The Pioneer Press is the place you must go.
Clue pinpoints the treasure location and identifies that it's in a nest buried in the snow.
Clue two, really meant nothing
Clue six, crazy town
The medallion sadly got chipped as finders Scot Tuma and Lynn Olson-Tuma dug it out of ice with a garden hoe and spade.
