now, as for the rumor. after that hunt sue was down at the northfield historical society. they have the bones that were sunk in the lake. unfortunately they weren't charlie's bones, at least not according to the nhs, but that is the common story that his bones were in the lake to be bleached.
I'd like to propose that this clue could be about Larry Ho. In 1919 a contemporary wrote about him, "Fearless in civic betterment, he is the despair and terror of the riff raff of politicians, though himself an almost eerily shrewd politician in the highest sense," which I think would qualify as giving them fits. Then in 1920 he ran for governor and even with the Democratic nomination he came in a distant third behind the Republican and Independent candidates. That could qualify for "[after] he was mired in the pits."
Hey New Daddy, I work for the Technology Dept at the White Bear Lake School District and I am getting the whole department slowly interested in the hunt, so perhaps before long it will be part of the curriculum!
This could be the science part of it. Did a member of the team that created through s get no credit and is sad about it? At work can't dig too deep right now. Gotta go.
I want it to be in Como this year (and wanted it in the park pool but was much too late to get it). I missed out the last time in '03. Go Como!!
Hello CC. Glad to see so many back on here and already diggin in. Anyone besides me believing that Como is a big red fish? Way to obvious a hint, and way to early for that (think Crosby last year). If so, expect one or two more vague Como references tonight and tomorrow night. Way too fun for the CW to point it where so many want it!
Muck, you are probably right, but... (Tangent theory time) what if Because of the large snow depth, the puck was hidden elevated or somewhere non snow affected? The CW could then have fun with people for awhile before giving away the detailed clues to a more obscure location and extended hunt.
According to the kids we ran into during the WBL hunt last summer NTFCF already is part of their studies. They talked about Jake and recognized us without saying a word. And they didn't even know a hunt was going on.
Funny. Although now that I think about it, I think I met English Teacher at Tony Schmidt. I seem to remember a teacher saying to me she showed the class the movie, but I didn't work in WBL at the time. So how surprised would they be to see one of the people in the movie working there?
No, that wasn't me. But, it's great to hear that there are other English teachers out there! I've just finished my student teaching so my license is pending.
I am Thomas Puzak. You and I dug for a while together at Tony Schmidt up near the playground and down across the road, if memory serves correctly. I'd love to let into the crew on FB! Thanks.

Nice gruesome history, something the CW would like.
Now is it a red herring or not.
clue could just mean mire - the park has a swamp in it.
I never knew lake como had a body in it, did any of you?
You don't happen to teach in WBL and have the kids watch "No time for cold feet"?

AW - great. All the kids in WBL Central middle school watch No time for cold feet in English class.
Welcome to all the new people as well!

Only 25 "downtown" boxes in 55101 Proceeding in a "Straight" line you outa be able to rule this hunch out in about an hour.
